I have always been the kind of girl who loves to read and write.  Life chances will always present themselves to make the most of any situation.  Confronted with mental health issues at a young age, I never thought in a million years I would be here alive and be re-educating myself at the Open University. I am grateful, most of all, and I thank God.<br /><br /> I have so far completed a few openLearn courses, including a Mental Health Course at level 2, applying my experiences of my journey, incorporating also the educational format of understanding what each of the mental health illnesses is, the timeline is by the August final date.  Having had my own mental health breakdown as a younger lady, I have the experiences shared as well as understanding from an educational perspective.<br /><br /><br /> This led me to take a year out to assess with others my journey.  The Open University has been a great platform not only for studies but of encouagement and motivation.  I am happy to return to a great team at the Open University.   With such supportive team members of the university, while also employed, it has been an interesting journey.<br /><br />I have found purpose in my abilities to improve, to know I can be educated and become someone. I am a nobody, but someone who has something to offer, as life and education also offer me that opportunity and chances to take up, pushing through. <br /><br />The ball game of life can be challnging for us all.
