However, no one can be utterly ignorant of God, and no one has an excuse to live in disobedience (see Romans 1:18-20). The Bible teaches that if you sow to the flesh, you will reap eternal destruction! (see Galatians 6:7-8). The apostle Paul taught this to the Body of Christ, not sinners, but the Body of Christ!

Today, we will be discussing how defiance against God is a recurring theme throughout the Bible, illustrating the rebellion of humanity against divine authority and the resulting consequences. This defiance is often characterized by disobedience, idolatry, and a rejection of God's commandments and guidance.

Eternal Consequences: The ultimate consequence of defiance against God is eternal separation from Him. Revelation 20:15 warns, "And if anyone was found whose name was not written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."

Despite the grave consequences of defiance, the Bible also offers hope for redemption through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. 1 John 1:9 assures believers, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." This promise underscores God's mercy and the possibility of restoration for those who turn back to Him.

In John 15, those who break themselves off from the Vine, are withered branches. Lord Jesus says such branches will be thrown into the fire to be burned!

When Jesus said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments” (John 14:15), what does He mean? He was teaching that loving Him would be a demonstrable action, not an emotional feeling. If Jesus is to be loved as He commanded, then a conscious choice must be made to act according to the pattern described in 1 Corinthians 13. Jesus was clear that loving Him is a service (John 14:15, 21, 23, 28) and that disobedience is evidence of a lack of love (John 14:24). Therefore, to love Jesus is to willfully act in such a way that our devotion to Him is proved through our actions toward Him and our obedience of Him.

Think of it like a parent and a child. A child obeys their parent not out of fear, but because they know their parent loves them and wants the best for them. Obedience is the natural fruit of love. When you love someone, you naturally want to make them happy.

So let's really dive into what did Jesus mean when He said, "If you love me, keep my commandments" and we will see how Holy Spirit's role in our sanctification leads us to obey Jesus which leads us to inheriting eternal life!

We must wake ourselves up to the realization that time is running out! Each and every day that we are graced to see the sun, that is one step closer to the grave. We are not getting any younger. We may look younger in our older age, but we're not getting younger.

Today, we're discussing how Jesus is the Vine - Followers Are Branches! Jesus taught, "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit. … By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be my disciples” (John 15:5,8)

Those who continue to live lifestyles contrary to the Word of God, will not inherit the Kingdom of God! The Bible is clear from the Old Testament to the New, that when we turn from our evil wicked ways (repent) and turn to God, He will forgive our sins. God has demonstrated His love for us by sending us a Savior - the Lord Jesus Christ as a sin offering, enduring the penalty for our wrongdoing!

Jesus commands us to remain (abide) in Him! He is the Vine, the Father is the Vinedresser, and we are the branches. In John 15, those who break themselves off from the Vine, are withered branches. Lord Jesus says such branches will be thrown into the fire to be burned!

And this brings us to what truly honors and glorified God? Paul dealt with the foolish notion in Romans 3:7 about “But,” someone might still argue, “how can God condemn me as a sinner if my dishonesty highlights his truthfulness and brings him more glory?”

Does this truly bring God glory? If not, what does?

We get older and older and the body gets weaker and weaker preparing itself for its final resting place. Eventually, unless Jesus returns before then, we will all die and then The Judgment! I know the unsaved doesn't like to talk about death. Because, that means eternal punishment stemming from the righteous divine judgment of their sins!

Here's the upshot, without Christ being both our Lord and Savior when we die, we face immediate judgment. But there is good news! You do not have to die in your sins and step into eternity as a God-denying, Christ-rejecting, unrepentant unbeliever who has said no to God's perfect Savior and lived the life of a hopeless lost sinner bound by sin.

As believers, we do have comfort and great counsel that these physical bodies will die one day, but it will be raised to life when Jesus returns. He says in John 10:27-28 that He gives eternal life to His true sheep. For they listen follow and obey the Good Shepherd!!

Salvation is of the Lord and we need to be mindful of that and live lives in deep appreciation and gratitude for our salvation! Lord Jesus is God and is seated at the right hand of God in Heaven making intercession for the saints. So He if is not on the throne of your heart, then who is? Who's directing and guiding your life here on earth? Is it you or is it Him.

Remember and never forget, Lord Jesus says we cannot serve two masters. "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." (Matthew 6:24).

Who sits on the throne of your heart?

This question invites self-reflection: who truly governs your life? Many people may acknowledge Jesus as Savior, but still retain control over their daily choices, effectively keeping Him in a "passenger seat" rather than as King...and that's never good!

As Joshua declared, "...Serve the Lord! 15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24). Amen! Choose this day!!

Our response towards sin, is to hate it, repent of it, and forsake it. When there is a struggle with sin, by the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in us, we are able to resist and overcome sin. The hallmark of a true follower of Jesus, is the decreasing presence of sin in his or her life. As we grow and mature in the faith, sin has less and less of a hold on us. They all will be judged and thrown into the lake of fire for eternity. The Bible warns that believers are to come out of Babylon, lest we partake of her sins. Why do you think that God is calling us out of the world?

He calls us out of the world to protect us from spiritual harm, preserve our pure values, and prepare us for a closer, more personal relationship with Him. In scripture, this "coming out" does not mean abandoning physical society, but rather choosing to separate from worldly sins, ungodly habits, and dark influences.

We are called out of darkness into the marvelous light of Jesus Christ. We "no longer live as the [unbelieving] Gentiles live, in the futility of their minds [and in the foolishness and emptiness of their souls]." Ephesians 4:17

The Bible clearly teaches that the wicked will not go unpunished. God's justice is not slack; He is patient, giving all a chance to repent, but ultimately, there is a time when the wicked will face destruction. Both the Old and New Testaments affirm this truth repeatedly. Psalm 1:6, "For the Lord watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction." 2 Peter 3:7, "By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

And...Believe it or not, most people STILL do not believe that divine justice against the wicked will happen and Jesus' return is meet with much skepticism and mockery! Therefore, humanity, by in large, are living in complete rebellion AND ungodliness against God!

However, rebellion against God’s way ends in ultimate misery! Turning against God begins to make things messy. Then – finally – one day Jesus will come back to clean up the mess of sin and make a home of righteousness that works right and feels right because it is right! (See 2 Peter 3:13).

At the fall of humanity, the earth was cursed for Adam’s sake (Genesis 3:17–19). His disobedience introduced sin, death, and separation from God - affecting not only human beings, but also creation itself! The result was a loss of the original harmony and dominion God intended for humanity. Because of Adam's and Eve's disobedience, God subjected the earth to futility and to a curse (Romans 5:20; Genesis 5:29). He did this with the anticipation that one day the creation would be set free (through Jesus Christ's atoning sacrifice) from its slavery and corruption and would enjoy the freedom of the glory of the children of God (Romans 8:21).

And that my friend, will be the restoration of all things... and we look forward to it with eager expectation!!!

In today's episode, I'm sharing my horrifying trip to a movie theater that proved just how dark and debased the times truly are!! I had not been to a movie theater in almost a decade and it has gotten worse. I only lasted 10 minutes inside before the filth and degradation of humanity had me running towards the exit!!

The Lord is telling His people to repent and get under His wing because this world is in a very dark place in history. This world is preparing for the arrival of their Antichrist. Unlike anytime in history, dark evil forces are breaking through. There will be no escaping God's judgment! We will all give an account for the life we lived - both good and bad deeds. We will all stand accountable.

In today's episode, I'm sharing my horrifying trip to a movie theater that proved just how dark and debased the times truly are!! I had not been to a movie theater in almost a decade and it has gotten worse. I only lasted 10 minutes inside before the filth and degradation of humanity had me running towards the exit!!

I'm also discussing how many professing Christians do not like the word obedience. But obedience is the fruit, the byproduct, of our salvation. Without works (of obedience) our faith is dead as James 2:17 says! Let's talk about these things on the podcast!

God has called His children to live life according to His original design. God created man to live as a reflection of Him in this world. Sin moves all people to live selfish, sin motivated lives. God in Christ has restored the original intent, and we are called to live our lives for Him in this world. The unbelievers in the world are simply unable to do this. To put it more plainly, an unbeliever cannot live, act, or think like a Christian! They do not have it in them to do so. Holy Spirit is not in them, as He wasn't in us when we, too, lived as the pagans in the futility of their minds!!

All that is in the heart of an unbeliever is sin and rebellion against God. Understand what I am saying! There is absolutely nothing of value or redeemable in the heart of any person in this world! This is what makes grace so remarkable!

God did not have to love us and there was nothing loveable in us for Him to desire us! He chose to love us when we were unlovable and rebellious against Him. We were all part of this crooked and perverse generation! ...AND THEN HE RESCUED US!! Hallelujah!

💥 We have been commanded to "walk worthy of the calling with which you are called!” (Ephesians 4:1).

The command to walk worthy of our calling does not mean that we are to somehow merit or earn our position. Rather, Paul is exhorting believers to live their lives so as to prove they belong to Christ. They are to maintain a fidelity to Christ and live with integrity. True believers will display the fruit of the Spirit who lives in them (John 14:17; Galatians 5:22–23). Their daily lives match their message (the gospel), their position in Christ, and the character of Christ.

MANY professing Christians are saying, "to live a holy righteous life is impossible", if not all together inconceivable! And therefore my brothers and sisters, we have a problem. So if we are constantly confessing "no one is perfect," "it's impossible to stop sinning," what you're actually saying is: the cross was not sufficient in its work. Listen, It is finished. The work that Christ came to do, He accomplished it in its entirety; in complete obedience!! So, what do you mean it's impossible to stop sinning? It's only impossible to the one who does not want to stop sinning. If you are committed to forsake sin, turn from it, and never again live a life characterized by it, it's not impossible! It may be a struggle, but one you will overcome because you are filled with God's Holy Spirit.

The command to walk worthy of our calling does not mean that we are to somehow merit or earn our position. Rather, Paul is exhorting believers to live their lives so as to prove they belong to Christ. They are to maintain a fidelity to Christ and live with integrity. True believers will display the fruit of the Spirit who lives in them (John 14:17; Galatians 5:22–23). Their daily lives match their message (the gospel), their position in Christ, and the character of Christ.

MANY professing Christians are saying, "to live a holy righteous life is impossible", if not all together inconceivable! And therefore my brothers and sisters, we have a problem. We have ourselves a huge problem because Jesus died to sin, setting us free from its clutches and penalty. So if we are constantly confessing "no one is perfect," "it's impossible to stop sinning," what you're actually saying is: the cross was not sufficient in its work. Listen, It is finished. The work that Christ came to do, He accomplished it in its entirety; in complete obedience!! So, what do you mean it's impossible to stop sinning? It's only impossible to the one who do not want to stop sinning. If you are committed to forsake sin, turn from it, and never again live a life characterized by it, it's not impossible! It may be a struggle, but one you will overcome because you are filled with God's Holy Spirit.

Jesus did took our place at the cross, paying the full penalty for our sins, so we could be forgiven and reconciled to God. However, this does NOT give the us license to sin — it gives us freedom from the penalty of sin, but still calls us to live in holiness and obedience. The correct understanding is that the cross is the basis for forgiveness, not for immoral license. GOD FORBID!

True grace transforms lives, calling believers to righteousness, moral responsibility, and spiritual growth, rather than offering freedom to sin without consequence.

TITUS 2:11-12 TEACHES, "11 For the [remarkable, undeserved] grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. 12 It teaches us to reject ungodliness and worldly (immoral) desires, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives [lives with a purpose that reflect spiritual maturity] in this present age."

We have been called to be holy as God is holy! This is doable through sound doctrine and the teaching and leading of the Holy Spirit who empowers us to turn from iniquity!

Evil is that which is morally wrong or sinful; it can also be defined as the absence of good. Since God is good and the measure of goodness, evil is essentially that which goes against His nature and His ways. Evil exists in our world because some of God’s creatures rebelled and continue to rebel against Him.

The first creature to rebel against God, therefore becoming the author of evil, was Satan, and other angels joined Satan in his rebellion (Isaiah 14:12–14; Ezekiel 28:12–18). Humans followed suit when Eve fell to Satan’s deception and Adam willingly partook in her sin (Genesis 3).

Though the evil in our world can seem overwhelming, it has by no means overcome the goodness of God. God’s children—those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ (John 1:12)—live in this world as ambassadors and lights (2 Corinthians 5:20–21: Matthew 5:13–16). We are tasked with sharing the good news about Jesus with the world (Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 1:8) and demonstrating His character through actively loving others (John 13:34–35; Galatians 6:9–10; 1 John 4:7–12). The Holy Spirit resides in us (Ephesians 1:13–14; 1 John 4:13). Nothing will separate us from God’s love, not even the darkest evil (Romans 8:28–39). Amen!

Since God is good and the measure of goodness, evil is essentially that which goes against His nature and His ways. Evil exists in our world because some of God’s creatures rebelled and continue to rebel against Him.

The first creature to rebel against God, therefore becoming the author of evil, was Satan, and other angels joined Satan in his rebellion (Isaiah 14:12–14; Ezekiel 28:12–18). Humans followed suit when Eve fell to Satan’s deception and Adam willingly partook in her sin (Genesis 3).

Though the evil in our world can seem overwhelming, it has by no means overcome the goodness of God. God’s children—those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ (John 1:12)—live in this world as ambassadors and lights (2 Corinthians 5:20–21: Matthew 5:13–16). We are tasked with sharing the good news about Jesus with the world (Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 1:8) and demonstrating His character through actively loving others (John 13:34–35; Galatians 6:9–10; 1 John 4:7–12). The Holy Spirit resides in us (Ephesians 1:13–14; 1 John 4:13). Nothing will separate us from God’s love, not even the darkest evil (Romans 8:28–39). Amen!
