This poetic text, comprised of 64 verses arranged as mantras, focuses not on rituals but on deep spiritual truths. Divided into three parts with two sections each, it is believed to be post-Buddhist, although its exact dating is debated. Among the 11 principal Upanishads noted by Sankara in his commentary on the Vedanta-Sutras, this work is a cornerstone of Vedanta philosophy.
