I worked in retail, Social Work, Direct Care, Prison Mental Health, Prison Guard, Public Speaking and Advocacy. I am also a published author.

“Perspectives In Life” Is about how we can look at life based on our experiences, emotions, and belief systems. This can either limit or empower the life we live.  It looks at how we look at ourselves and others. We can see beyond perceived facts and try to understand life in the reality of struggles and joys in life.

There is an acronym in recovery called HOW. It can lead to the question that is often asked in recoverys early days: How am I going to Get out of this mess? I was in this mode for several yars and it was subconciously taxing. It had me focused on my own troubles.

In 2011 (4 years into the GA program) that changed for me to a new Acronym.. WHO. It changed my perspective from one question to a different question. It also changed my direction in working the program to living the program. It made me start with being willing first which made my Honesty more forcuse and broader. With that I began to see more of what was hidden, I became more Openminded.
