In that courtroom, corruption ruled. Unethical conduct by those sworn to uphold justice revealed the dark underbelly of a system designed to protect the innocent. Legal scholars who ignore the rule of law and the Model Rules of Professional Conduct have no place in our American justice system. I witnessed how corruption and greed can twist human nature, inflict pain, tear families apart, and bury truth deep in the pits of hell.

That day changed the direction of my life forever. It forced me to face a new reality—one that demanded I seek answers and fight back. I began investigating relentlessly, spending hours in courthouse law libraries across America. What started as a personal quest for truth became a lifelong mission: to help others understand that a broken gavel does not have to break your life.

For more than twenty-three years, I devoted my life to confronting the evil underbelly of society—helping victims heal and reclaim their lives. I walked into the lion’s den time and again, standing alone against a hidden system built to silence the powerless. Without any lawyer by my side, I fought—and I won. I helped bring justice back to those who had been stripped of it.

My work expanded to expose insurance fraud, challenge medical malpractice, and fight for the compensation victims deserved. I shared in their victories, their joy and I saw smiles return to faces once marked by pain. I witnessed lives transformed. Some I even helped save.

In 2012, my first book, Bringing Down Goliath: Based on a True Story, was published. In 2015, under my pen name S.A. Roberts, I wrote and registered Broken Gavel Inspired by a True Story, a screenplay inspired by true events. Later, in 2024, I registered a revised Broken Gavel: Inspired by a True Story, now an award winning screenplay at festivals and trade shows around the world -- in such places as Berlin Germany, London England, New York, Las Angeles CA and elsewhere. On June 16, 2025, I registered my book, Broken Gavel A Legal Drama - Inspired by a True Story—chronicling this powerful journey.

While others have written works under similar titles—such as a book, Broken Gavel (2005) by Nicholas A. Clemente, now deceased, and A Broken Gavel (2023) by John Troy King—none have lived my story.

As of August 2026, I have yet to find another person who, without a law degree or legal representation, has walked into courtrooms and single handedly confronted unethical attorneys and triumphed over systemic corruption for over two decades.

To my knowledge, no other non-lawyer has achieved such consistent success in pursuing justice on behalf of the injured and oppressed.
