There may be one or more of your favorites left out but we are generally looking at the ones we loved. If we left out one of your favorites let us know at the Patreon site. Hopefully you will find it illuminating and understandable...and of course, fun!Support the show</itunes:summary><itunes:duration>1180</itunes:duration><itunes:keywords>blogging,boomer,career options, hobbies, investment, medical, podcasting, retirement, self evaluation,taxes,youtube</itunes:keywords><itunes:explicit>false</itunes:explicit><itunes:image href="https://d3wo5wojvuv7l.cloudfront.net/t_rss_itunes_square_1400/images.spreaker.com/original/72fb0eb7a6ba73e9ce0633b9fedab1b9.jpg"/><itunes:episode>60</itunes:episode><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType>

059 6 Tips For Choosing A Financial Advisor

This episode deals with choosing a financial advisor and also deals with some of the pitfalls associated with that. What should I do for my loved one or myself in care at the end of life? Here Pete Moss talks about it as he faces the situation personally with his mom. There are definite questions to ask whether hospice is the answer. Most of us think that hospice is just warehousing a person with terminal illness but it can and should be something else. It should be care that takes into account all the needs of the patient and the family involved. It isn't and easy decision but Boomers will likely face it with a family member...or themselves.Support the show

<itunes:author>Spreely Media</itunes:author><itunes:subtitle>This episode deals with a sensitive and emotional issue. Much the same was done by a lot of Boomers in their youth. They talked about high minded ideals, freedom and equality and so forth. You can debate the sincerity of it but then compare it with the ignorant and foul mouthed rantings of millennials and younger when they discovered that their candidate doesn't always win in 2016. So many years of participation trophies and self-esteem coddling meant they lost it. Also, the lack of education evidenced by the atrocious language in this segment shows that when given the opportunity to "be heard" online they squander it. You'll say that this is only the left...and probably you are right; in both senses of the word. I haven't bleeped anything so remember what my Grandma used to say, "Cursing is neither intelligent nor attractive and one who resorts often to it shows a lack of vocabulary and breeding".Support the show

<itunes:author>Spreely Media</itunes:author><itunes:subtitle>We all know that the generations after the Baby Boomers blame all the problems they and the world have on them. Also, the lack of education evidenced by the atrocious language in this segment shows that when given the opportunity to "be heard" online they squander it. You'll say that this is only the left...and probably you are right; in both senses of the word. I haven't bleeped anything so remember what my Grandma used to say, "Cursing is neither intelligent nor attractive and one who resorts often to it shows a lack of vocabulary and breeding".Support the show</itunes:summary><itunes:duration>968</itunes:duration><itunes:keywords>achievements,boomer,devices,history,inventions,milestones,millennials,patreon,podcasts,politics,technology,viewpoint</itunes:keywords><itunes:explicit>false</itunes:explicit><itunes:image href="https://d3wo5wojvuv7l.cloudfront.net/t_rss_itunes_square_1400/images.spreaker.com/original/56bd3501c34398bffbf233409372a01d.jpg"/><itunes:episode>38</itunes:episode><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType>

037 For Boomers Words Still Mean Things

This episode delves into one of the reasons that Boomers are blamed and, indeed, hated by many of the generations after it is that we still believe that words mean things. We don't agree that just saying you are something and that something exists means you are a science denier, racist or hatemonger. As referenced earlier in an episode of this podcast, we aren't great at the game of Let's Pretend. We see things and we confront them head on within a framework of reality. We think you'll enjoy it and be sure to chime in with your opinion if you agree or not.Support the show</itunes:summary><itunes:duration>1885</itunes:duration><itunes:keywords>blogging,boomer,career options, hobbies, investment, medical, podcasting, retirement, self evaluation,sports,youtube</itunes:keywords><itunes:explicit>false</itunes:explicit><itunes:image href="https://d3wo5wojvuv7l.cloudfront.net/t_rss_itunes_square_1400/images.spreaker.com/original/502a83be9f99af491c8b219ee36ebb27.jpg"/><itunes:episode>28</itunes:episode><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType>

027 Our Message To Texas Democrats - "Well...Bye"

In this episode Pete Moss, a Texan himself, discusses the flight of Texas democrat representatives from the state to Washington, D.C. to draw attention to themselves and fight against the inevitable passing of new voting regulations aimed at curbing voting irregularities and returning them back to pre-pandemic normalcy. The democrats will say they left and denied a quorum to the Texas legislature for the passing of this legislation in a special session called by Governor Greg Abbott. Ignoring the fact that the state’s voters have cast their ballots and sent a Republican majority, they say they are doing it for minority voters. Maybe they think those people are not able to vote in the required time, 3 weeks before election day or that they are too ignorant to acquire a picture ID. Whatever the case, we report the facts…not the talking points. We were salesmen together in what I would call our boot camp experience in the marketing world. Like Old Blue Eyes used to sing; if you could make it there you could make it anywhere. It was a wild and wooly time of slinging copiers down the streets of middle 80s Dallas when the buildings were popping up all over the Metroplex like North Texas Bluebonnets. Fast forward to today when both of us have had a long career in sales and business ownership with a nod to sales and a heavy dose of marketing.
