(NASB). He initiated a profound revelation of His power and provision. Throughout the forty chapters of Exodus, the word "hand" appears 64 times, with over half occurring from Exodus 3:19 to the crossing of the Red Sea in Exodus 14:30. It was during this time that the invisible, yet mighty hand of the LORD was made manifest through Moses and his staff.

1. Humility:
Moses' staff, initially just a shepherd's tool, symbolized his humility and dependence on God's power. Despite being despised by the Egyptians for his vocation, Moses recognized his insignificance without God's favor. As the Psalmist declares, "power belongs to God" (Psalms 62:11).

2. Obedience:
When Moses obeyed God's command to throw his staff on the ground and later to catch it by the tail, he demonstrated obedience, despite fear. This act foreshadowed the transformative power of obedience, even in the face of potential danger.

3. Righteousness:
Moses' act of putting his hand inside his cloak symbolized an examination of his heart and actions. The leprous hand represented the sinful nature of man. While its restoration signified the cleansing and righteousness required to serve God faithfully.

4. From Staff to Cross:
Just as Moses' staff became a symbol of authority through God's power, the cross symbolizes humility, obedience, and righteousness for believers today. Through Jesus Christ, who humbled Himself and became obedient to death on the cross; believers find wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption (1 Corinthians 1:30).

5. Utilizing What's in Your Hand:
God's question to Moses echoes throughout scripture; challenging believers to recognize the resources, utilize the resources, skills, and opportunities He provides. Like Moses' staff, what may seem insignificant to us can become a powerful instrument in God's hands.

Conclusion:
In every situation, God works through the ordinary to accomplish the extraordinary. Just as Moses' staff became a tool of deliverance, believers are called to offer what's in their hands to God in faith, trusting Him to use it for His glory and the fulfillment of His purposes. As we embrace humility, obedience, and righteousness.

Encouraging employees to think and act in ways that come most naturally (in alignment with true spiritual) them
Scriptural Basis: Proverbs 22:6 states, "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it” (KJV). This verse emphasizes the importance of recognizing the nurturing individual inclinations and talents from a young age. Just as children are encouraged to develop according to their unique gifts, leaders can help employees flourish by recognizing and building upon their natural strengths. Ephesians 4:7 mentions, "But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it” (NIV). This verse implies that God has endowed each individual with specific gifts and talents. It is incumbent upon them to utilize these gifts for the benefit of others and the glory of God.

2. Developing decision-making abilities
Keep in mind that decisions decide. James 1:5 advises, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him” (NKJV). This verse highlights the importance of seeking divine guidance in decision-making. By developing sound judgment and seeking wisdom from God, individuals can fulfill their potential to make impactful choices that align with divine principles. Furthermore, Proverbs 3:6 states, "In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths” (ESV). This emphasizes the necessity of aligning one's decisions with God's will. By trusting in His guidance to lead them on the right path and fulfill their potential.

3. Expanding ones’ performance tolerance threshold
James 1:2-4 states, "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing” (ESV). Here we see the idea that challenges including adversity contribute to personal growth and maturity. By enduring trials with resilience through faith rooted in love, individuals can expand their performance tolerance threshold and fulfill their potential. Romans 5:3-5 mentions, "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us” (NKJV). The transformative nature of trials and tribulations, ultimately leading to the development of character and the fulfillment of one's potential.

4. Strengthening potential by surrounding it with those even stronger than you
Proverbs 27:17 says, "Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another." This verse emphasizes the importance of surrounding oneself with wise and supportive individuals who can help sharpen, strengthen the character and abilities of each other. Just as iron sharpens iron, individuals can enhance their potential by learning from and collaborating with others who possess complementary strengths and experiences. Moreover, Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 mentions, "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up." The significance of companionship and collaboration in enhancing one's potential as well as overcoming challenges. Furthermore, these scriptural references underscore the divine expectation for individuals to recognize and utilize their inherent potential for the greater good.

5. Embracing personal responsibility
Galatians 6:4-5, "Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, for each one should carry their own load." People are to take personal accountability and stewardship of their talents and abilities. Remember God called people while busy working, God places a demand on individuals to recognize their unique responsibilities and utilize their potential to fulfill them, contributing positively to the world around them. By integrating this additional point, leaders are reminded of the individual accountability inherent in realizing one's potential. Just as God expects individuals to steward their talents responsibly; leaders guide employees in recognizing and embracing their personal responsibilities, empowering them to make meaningful contributions in alignment with their divine purpose. By integrating these scriptural principles into each point, the concept of God placing a demand on potential is reinforced to emphasize the importance of recognizing, nurturing, and leveraging individuals.
