His current research delves into the effects of debt and austerity agendas on learners and community educators' use of social media tools to combat hate speech. Dr. McGray's academic journey has taken him across various regions, including the West Indies, Alberta, Quebec, Ontario, and Nova Scotia. He holds a PhD from the University of Alberta in Theoretical, Cultural, and International Studies in Education, a Master of Arts in Education from Mount Saint Vincent University, and a Bachelor of Arts and a Certificate in Adult Education from Dalhousie University.
