Let us begin by reminding ourselves that Allah SWT commanded us in the Quran to obey Allah and obey the Messenger.

TRADITIONALISTS: Their next concern is the Traditionalist Muslims and by that they mean the Hanafis, Shafis, Malikees and Humbalis. They want to create issues between us, want to divide us, keep us divided and so on. So what can we do to keep ourselves UNITED?

MODERNISTS AND SECULARISTS: As we have seen, they want to support and uplift the Modernists and the Secularists, so let us remind or advice those amongst US who consider themselves Modernists and the Secularists.

What good is it (akhirah point of view) if we find ourselves in the wrong camp on the day of judgement – OOPS how did I get here. But that would be too late. Therefore let us learn or remind ourselves about Al Wala wal Bara from few different angles Biidhnillahi Ta’ala.

In this day and age of confusion between Truth and Falsehood, advancement of technology to the amazement of most people, godlessness on the rise, some individuals gaining and possessing unbelievable amounts of wealth.... Individuals possessing amounts of money to the extent that they can buy or influence the mass media, the justice system, the health system and so on. There is a claim by one of their leaders that they have over 50% of politicians in a Government under their control and this is happening not in some poor country (or third world countries as they call) but in a western country.

Have any Muslims been bought as well, have any Muslims too submitted to these things - question for all Muslims (specially those in leading roles) to look at themselves in the mirror and ask themselves.

So in this day and age when all the things just mentioned are happening, it is possible that we Muslims could get impacted, get influenced, get carried away, get forced into, give into subjugation to false systems/concepts/people thinking that they can protect and save us, they can help and assist us in rising in the duniya and so on and thus slowly begin to loose our iman and could even end up becoming like them. This is the danger.

So Dear Muslims let us remind ourselves a bit of the One we believe in and Submit to and that should set things right, we can then differentiate between the Creator and the Creatures and you will see or remind yourself of who actually is in control.

1. Who is the creator? Quran 40:64, 39:6, 7:54 & 10:31-32
2. Who is Allah? Quran 59:23-24, 20:14, 2:255, 35:13, 3:18 & 3:51
3. Did people think that Allah created us only for play and without any purpose? Quran 23:115
4. For what purpose did Allah create mankind? Quran 51:56
5. What did Allah command us to do? Quran 4:58, 6:151
6. From where shall we seek guidance? Quran 1:6
7. Who shall we invoke in time of disaster? Quran 29:65, 10:12
8. What happened to the previous nations when they disobeyed Allah? Quran 29:40
9. What is the religion of Allah? Quran 3:19
10. What is the religion accepted by Allah? Quran 3:85

CONCLUSION: Every now and then we should remind ourselves of these things, so that we can stick to our Islamic roots, so that we can continue to hold tight to the rope of Allah. Going after duniya is easy, anyone can do that, but working for Akhirah and making ourselves eligible to be successful on the Day of Judgement requires hard work and sacrifices. Finally dear Muslims, if we achieve duniya and lost akhirah, then we have lost it all and if we loose duniya (yaani even if we don’t achieve much in duniya) but if you have secured your Akhirah… then you are the Real Winner.

When we talk about ‘End of Times’, some of the topics that come to mind are: Minor Signs of Day of Judgement, The Mahdi, Dajjal, Return of Isa (AS), Yajuj & Majuj and the Literal End of the World, Judgement by Allah (SWT), Jahannum & Jannah.

All of these things will happen for sure, but the exact timings are known only to Allah (SWT). But what we can confidently say is that we are getting closer because most of the minor signs have already occurred.

One of the danger is that, we could get very excited by this subject and might spend lot of time trying to learn what Islam says about them and so on, but if you or I die tomorrow and go into the grave, that is our end of time and the next thing that will happen to us (in addition to what will happen in the grave) is, we will be raised on the Day of Judgement.

A man came to Rasool Allah (SAWS) and asked: Ya Rasool Allah, when will the World end?

Prophet (SAWS) replied: What have you prepared for it?

Therefore if you or I die tomorrow, all the knowledge about the Mahdi, Dajjal, Return of Isa, Yajuj wa Majuj is not going to be of use to us. So, the main point is … what are we preparing for our end of the world yaani death … which could be any moment in future.

So first and foremost, in today’s khutbah, let us tackle the scenario… which is… what if you or I die tomorrow? Death, Grave and Hereafter.

We are moving forward on the assumption that we are now ‘On The Rise’ Insha Allah.

And while we are attempting or trying to rise up, there is something we always need to be alert and cautious about, something that with which if we mess around, it can throw us out of Islam and thus we will end up loosing the Akhirah and none of us can afford to loose the Akhirah. And that thing is SHIRK. Hence we covered it in first two khutbahs of the series.

Next we concentrated on another important thing. While rising up and after we have risen to whatever level Allah wishes for us to rise, where do we want to find ourselves, where do want to end up? What good is it (akhirah point of view) if we find ourselves in ‘Enemies of Islam’ camp for example or ‘Enemies of Humanity’ camp or ‘Camp of Godless People’ or ‘Freemasons’ camp – OOPS how did I get here. But that could be too late. Therefore we learnt or reminded ourselves about Al Wala wal Bara in the 3rd and 4th khutbahs of the series.

Next let us concentrate on ‘End of Times’ related information because we are closest to ‘End of Times’ than all the Muslims of the past. Therefore while rising up, we need to consider whether it could be ‘End of Times’ scenario because if it is, then we can’t just rely on knowledge and experiences of the past but rather we will also need to take ‘End of Times’ factors into consideration. And as we know this is a huge subject, but I will only be sharing some pieces of information and hope that Insha Allah it will be sufficient for us to get an idea.

Concluding with Hadith Jibraeel to prove that End of Times is serious business.

Therefore while rising up, we need to consider whether it could be ‘End of Times’ scenario because if it is, then we can’t just rely on knowledge and experiences of the past but rather we will also need to take ‘End of Times’ factors into consideration. And as we know this is a huge subject, but I will only be sharing some pieces of information and hope that Insha Allah it will be sufficient for us to get an idea.

Concluding with Hadith Jibraeel to prove that End of Times is serious business.

After covering SHIRK in previous two khutbahs, next let us concentrate on another important thing.
While rising up and after we have risen to whatever level Allah wishes for us to rise, where do we want to find ourselves, where do want to end up?

Let’s say there are camps titled Jews, Christians, Idol Worshippers, Zionists, Freemasons, Atheists, ‘All in One’ and a camp called Believers. So after we have risen, where do we want to find ourselves?

Along the way, while rising up, if we are not alert, cautious and if we don’t keep checking and purifying our intentions and if we are not careful about who we work with and who we don’t and so on…

What good is it (akhirah point of view) if we find ourselves in ‘All in One’ camp for example. Or if we find ourselves in the ‘Freemasons’ camp for example – OOPS how did I get here. But that could be too late. Therefore let us learn or remind ourselves about Al Wala wal Bara.

If we look around, if we look at places where Muslims are in majority and also places where Muslims are in minority, we find more and more Muslims coming back to Islam, we find more and more Muslims wanting to work for Islam. We will see Muslim Organisations in Economics, Politics, Organisations for Women, Muslim Media, Newspapers, Satellite etc etc. We see this all over. Hence we know that this is the tide coming up. We know that Islam is ‘On The Rise’ Biidhnillahi Ta’ala.

While we are attempting or trying to rise up, some of us could be crawling, some walking by taking baby steps, some walking normally, some jogging and some sprinting etc. Irrespective of whether we are at the bottom of the ladder or at the top, there is something we always need to be alert and cautious about, something that with which if we mess around, it can throw us out of Islam and thus we will end up loosing the Akhirah and none of us can afford to loose the Akhirah. And that thing is SHIRK. So today’s khutbah is once again related to this.

Rising in what sense? This needs to be clarified because non-Muslims who keep track of things and rightfully so (or as the saying goes… Even the Walls have Ears) can misunderstand.

• This is NOT a call to Muslims in Australia to rise and fight in the physical sense.
• Do I believe in Jihad (in the sense of fighting in the path of Allah)? YES. Is such a jihad possible in Australia? NO

So how can we rise in Australia (or in the western world)? Here I would like to refer to two great hadiths of Prophet (saws).

On the authority of Abu Sa’eed al-Khudree (ra) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) say, "Whosoever of you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then [let him change it] with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with this heart - and that is the weakest of faith." [Sahih Muslim]

Hadith on Jihad: Best jihad to speak truth in front of oppressors Tariq ibn Shihab reported: A man asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, “What is the best jihad?” The Prophet said, “A word of truth in front of a tyrannical ruler.” Source: Musnad Aḥmad 18449

So the need of the hours once again brs is to RISE UP AND SPEAK THE TRUTH.

One way to look at the situation of the Muslim Ummah (i.e. the downfall of Muslims ending with the demolition of the Khilafah) is to blame the non-Muslims – look how these non-Muslims, these evil people, how they fooled us, how they divided us and so on.

Other way is to blame ourselves! And ask – why did we get fooled? When the British sent their spy to the Arabs, why didn’t the Arabs plan and plot along with the Turks and make a fool of the British? Similarly, why didn’t Ata Turk plan and plot along with the Arabs and make a fool of the non-Muslims. But they didn’t, which means these Muslims consciously chose to do what they did.

Why am I saying all this? Because we need to learn lessons from past and not repeat the mistakes going forward, otherwise our situation is not going to change.

• We Muslims have the TRUTH (in the Islamic sense) + we are not supposed to LIE (in the general sense), but many a times in real life situations, we fail to share, convey or speak out the Truth. WHY? *It is due to lack of courage and practice.*
• Examples of courage from Quran and Sunnah: The story of THE BOY AND THE KING, Prophet IBRAHIM (AS) & Abdullah Ibn Masood (companion of Prophet SAWS).
• CONCLUSION: With all that is going on in the World today, if we don’t try and achieve such courage today and if we don’t act upon it today, then when?
