Djembé : Instrument de percussion africain qu'on appelle communément ici le « tamtam ».

Doundounba, dunumba ou dununba : Un instrument en Guinée qui se situe dans la famille des tambours dunduns.

Pow-wow : Danses qui permettent à la plupart des communautés autochtones de se rassembler dans les mêmes événements. C’est une cérémonie ouverte à tous, une fête de partage. Ce sont principalement des chants, des danses. Il y a des pow-wow qu'on peut nommer de traditionnels dans lesquels il va aussi avoir des cérémonies de guérison, par exemple.

Regalia : Habit traditionnel, vêtements portés par les danseurs de pow-wow.

Fancy Shawl Dance : La danse Fancy Shawl est l'un des styles de danse les plus athlétiques dansés par les femmes dans les pow-wow.

Intertribal Dance : Il s'agit de danses intertribales, durant le pow-wow, où tout le monde peut participer au cercle, y compris le public.

Soussou : Le soso, aussi parfois appelé soussou ou susu, est une langue mandée parlée en Afrique de l’Ouest, notamment en Guinée.

Reconnaissance territoriale : La reconnaissance des territoires autochtones sur lesquels nous sommes. Petit lexique :

Djembé : Instrument de percussion africain qu'on appelle communément ici le « tamtam ».

Doundounba, dunumba ou dununba : Un instrument en Guinée qui se situe dans la famille des tambours dunduns.

Pow-wow : Danses qui permettent à la plupart des communautés autochtones de se rassembler dans les mêmes événements. C’est une cérémonie ouverte à tous, une fête de partage. Ce sont principalement des chants, des danses. Il y a des pow-wow qu'on peut nommer de traditionnels dans lesquels il va aussi avoir des cérémonies de guérison, par exemple.

Regalia : Habit traditionnel, vêtements portés par les danseurs de pow-wow.

Fancy Shawl Dance : La danse Fancy Shawl est l'un des styles de danse les plus athlétiques dansés par les femmes dans les pow-wow.

Intertribal Dance : Il s'agit de danses intertribales, durant le pow-wow, où tout le monde peut participer au cercle, y compris le public.

Soussou : Le soso, aussi parfois appelé soussou ou susu, est une langue mandée parlée en Afrique de l’Ouest, notamment en Guinée.

Reconnaissance territoriale : La reconnaissance des territoires autochtones sur lesquels nous sommes. Cette reconnaissance est une première petite action qui peut être effectuée par respect envers les peuples autochtones en reconnaissant le territoire traditionnel et non cédé sur lequel nous nous trouvons.
