How to manage your finances and get a mortgage in this current market with Monica Bradley. In this episode you will meet, continue to learn and be empowered by this amazing guest and stellar woman. Monica is founder of the MB Assoicates, a multi- award winning mortgage broker in Surrey UK. She has been in the financial services industry for over 30 years. She is at times referred to as Monica mortgage money / Monica money mortgage by those who know her. You will get to know why.

In this episode Monica talks about what is required to be able to get a mortgage in this current market in the UK and the world - with inflation levels going up, the highest interest rates since 2007, high cost of living etc. She asserts that it is critical to understand how all these affect how much disposable income you have. She also covers how your credit rating will affect the money you intend to borrow.

Monica covers some key aspects like how to ensure that you have the lowest interest rate for the full duration of your mortgage payment period. She calls for the need to look at your interest rates as interest is the one thing that eats into your disposable income.
She also covers the need to deal with credit cards which she calls DEBT cards as they come with higher interest rate than the mortgage.

You will learn why you need to take care of all credit and any on going commitments before going to the banks. She encourages you to look at your bank statements, your subscriptions and everything that could affect your financial situation. She covers all the terminologies - fixed rates, trackers, variable interest rates etc.

Her first pitch was to a coffee shop that reminded her of Starbucks. Seeing the coffee shop, she wished she could work for them. She then decided to send them a note requesting to do their marketing and was told that they already had two marketing agencies at the final stages of the pitch. She was however called to come in as a wild card. She ended up winning the business and beating the two big agencies mainly because she was hungrier and wanted the job more. The coffee shop ended up selling to Starbucks and the next thing she knew she was on the phone with Howard Schultz and being selected to work for Starbucks.
Her agency has gone to win numerous awards. Sustainability is at the centre of the work that she does.

GSC creates possibilities for their clients who are mainly in the luxury category. Their work helps to integrate the corporate vision with culture. They also help clients to understand their market, tell their stories, developing a compelling offer, change mindsets and behaviour of the public. Mindfulness will help you to navigate life waves as they happen.

Mindfulness can be practised any where and at any time. You can practice mindfulness through breathing, yoga and meditation. This involves bringing your awareness to different aspects or actions. It can be bringing awareness to your breathing, to the body through the scan, to an object, walking, eating, journaling and more.

In this session you will also get an opportunity to practise breathing. You will be guided on how to breathe correctly. It is important to learn how to breathe

We think we have no time, so we end up doing too much and going into overwhelm yet the mind can only do one thing at a time.

With mindfulness practice, you will get to know yourself better and over time, you will be able to align to what is happening right now - become a master of your mind and not the other way round. You will learn to align to your true self, thoughts, to your body, feelings, values, goals, to a conversation or anything else you're doing.
