I am grateful and honoured to have had a diverse and exciting career spanning multiple sectors, disciplines and leadership styles.

My belief is that the wider range of life experiences one can have the better insight, leadership and creativity one has in all areas of life and business.

While I am probably best known for building Pytch (Formerly SXS Events) into one of the UK's leading media and communciations companies, I have had the privilege of also developing a range of other projects. These include an innovative renewable energy business (SolCell), redefining sustainable hospitality (Eutierria Domes), making considerable commercial property investments (Autonomous Investments), setting up a high-profile conservation project (Warleigh Weir Project) and buying a private island (the river island at Warleigh Weir). Most recently my private jet (#pytchair) has "landed" too.

Since covid-19 I have also become a co-founder of a market-leading software company, Intelligo as well as designed, launched and own the UK's most sophisticated virtual events studio, "The Virtual Venue". I am also involved in community, environmental and youth-development programs which are beyond the scope of LinkedIn. In addition I have launched The Peregrine Fund which will be supporting, investing in or acquiring businesses affected by covid-19

These opportunities help me to take a balanced, innovative and empathetic approach to the work I do and the relationships I build.

I thrive on adventure and actively seek out opportunities to both learn and fail; while also consistently developing the foundations and security of all the projects I work on.

I love working with inspired, fresh-thinking people and have an appetite for marking unchartered territory, disrupting existing markets and doing whatever it takes to make the world a better and more sustainable place.

Polly is the course leader for the media technology programme. She joined the team in September 2009 as an associate lecturer. During this time she also worked as a part-time media manager at the BBC and assisted with outside broadcast events such as Glastonbury and Glade festivals.

Polly became a researcher in the audio and media technology research group in September 2010, focusing on the use of video, interactive materials and web 2.0 in postgraduate learning for a project in conjunction with Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust. The project consisted of developing online training materials for junior doctors training in emergency medicine. Polly joined the team full time in 2012. She is now pursuing her interest in the use of media content on mobile devices having completed an MSc in Mobile Media Applications Development at Portsmouth University

Polly has strong connections with the media technology industry, particularly with the course alumni and organises work experience, placements and graduate positions with companies within the broadcast industry.

Polly is particularly interested in outside broadcasting and has gained many links with large outside broadcast providers over the last eight years.
