She started teaching in North Carolina in 2002, but after a family move worked for oil and gas companies in Texas and Fort Smith before returning to the classroom. Mr. Steve has become the premier performer for children in the Nashville area, hosting and curating the Kids Music Fest at Live on the Green each year, partnering up with the Governor and his wife for their summer reading initiative “Read to Be Ready” and will be playing Pilgrimage Festival this fall. Digital citizenship is part of what school librarians teach so we are<br />very interested in helping our students be responsible and ethical when online.<br /><br />Susan Jobe is the G.U.I.D.E. for Life Specialist at the Division of Elementary and<br />Secondary Education. She has 14 years of classroom experience, serving in the Des<br />Arc and Vilonia School Districts as an English Language Arts teacher as well as<br />certifications in Curriculum and Instruction and Building Administration for<br />grades K-12. A monthly podcast<br />featuring interviews with prominent educators working with education and<br />technology, SMACtalk for Educators has a different theme for every episode<br />centered around promoting online safety and security for educators.<br /><br />For October, our focus is on fostering healthy virtual relationships.<br /><br />The interviewer, Cassandra Barnett has been a school librarian for 42 years and is<br />currently the Program Advisor for School Libraries for the Arkansas Department<br />of Education. Digital citizenship is part of what school librarians teach so we are<br />very interested in helping our students be responsible and ethical when online.<br /><br />Susan Jobe is the G.U.I.D.E. for Life Specialist at the Division of Elementary and<br />Secondary Education. She has 14 years of classroom experience, serving in the Des<br />Arc and Vilonia School Districts as an English Language Arts teacher as well as<br />certifications in Curriculum and Instruction and Building Administration for<br />grades K-12.
