The Joliet Diocesan Council of Catholic Women have been coordinating the Box of Joy outreach for four years now. The outreach delivers small boxes, full of stuff children would love as gifts, to children in need in the Caribbean, Africa, Asia or Latin America who may otherwise receive very little at Christmas. Just imagine the joy on a child’s face upon receiving a box. The Councils of Catholic Women in the diocese collect small items, such as crayons, coloring books, T-shirts, or small toys – anything that will fit in a shoe box. It is not too late to donate. The deadline to contribute is Nov. 10, 2020.
