It was created in the year 2020, as a platform for addressing the strife mental health issues being faced in Zambia and the world at large.<br />The Heal project includes weekly podcast episodes and poetic writings and other forms of Art that assist in raising awareness and support for various Mental Health problems such Anxiety, Depression and Isolation. <br />The main target groups for the Heal project include Young adults and Teenagers. However, the issues that are addressed affect all walks of life and all members of society.<br />The Aim and Purpose of the Heal Project are simple and direct; To Raise Awareness towards Mental Health and Personality Disorders as well as provide support for people suffering from depression, anxiety and other related problems.<br />The hard truth is that Depression has taken a lot of people from so many of us. Suicide, Drug abuse and even social anxiety can all stem from depression. In a World where, life moves at a rate that is faster than that of light, a lot of people’s problems are either ignored or simply not cared for. This often leads to feelings of being unwanted and abandoned. <br />We hence endeavor to provide peer-to-peer support through podcasts, social media and social interactions. We may not be professionally qualified personnel, but we realize the growing need for support among members of our society. We are thus determined to provide as much support to any one in need of help. The Heal project draws inspiration from the Semi-Colon movement and other similar organizations in the world. <br />One man cannot change the world, but two can, therefore it is our aspiration to support each other in the moments when we forget that we are loved and valued.
