I absolutely loved this movie. As a child I watched the original Dolemite and remembered how outrageous and funny it was. As a child, I never understood the blaxploitation in film and didn’t hear the term until I was well into adulthood. But this IS NOT a blaxploitation film, more accurately, an underdog film about a blaxploitation filmmaker who began a movement in the 70’s. From DJ’s to his best friends, Rudy Ray Moore was chastised for his style of humor, his constant “re-inventing” of himself and never taken seriously. But in true underdog fashion, Rudy Ray unrelentingly hung on to his passion and dreams until one day a homeless guy came into the record store where he worked and told him a “prison story” of a man named Dolemite. The homeless guy’s story was so incredible and absurd, that Rudy saw potential in creating this character and bringing him to life.CHARACTER:Most of the major cast members are old enough to have grown up with Dolemite on the radio, TV or cinema giving them a personal connection to the character they are portraying and it showed in this film. Each character portrayal felt authentic to the actor and not a forced performance.DIALOGUE: Like the character portrayal, the dialogue was succinct with the period and engaging.THIS IS A GREAT FEEL GOOD MOVIE

<itunes:author>Eric Bean</itunes:author><itunes:subtitle>EPISODE: 09TITLE: Interview with Tony ArmerGUEST: St. Pete/Clearwater Film Commissioner - Tony ArmerGUEST BIO:Tony Armer is the Film Commissioner for St. Petersburg Clearwater (Pinellas County) FL, an Award Winning Filmmaker and the Founder and Former...</itunes:subtitle><itunes:summary>EPISODE: 09TITLE: Interview with Tony ArmerGUEST: St. Pete/Clearwater Film Commissioner - Tony ArmerGUEST BIO:Tony Armer is the Film Commissioner for St. Petersburg Clearwater (Pinellas County) FL, an Award Winning Filmmaker and the Founder and Former Executive Director of the internationally acclaimed Sunscreen Film Festival. I usually have a hard time smoking any strains because it seems like all strains give me paranoid thought because I always have paranoia and it just heightens it. This one seems very consistent with keeping me stable and actually happy. I miss being happy so again thank you RudeBoi. I really enjoyed this smoke. I didn’t really get the peppery taste so many have reported but the citrus and earthy notes definitely resonated. And definitely not for the novice smoker, this strain has some kick! And it’s not indictive of average Indica strains as it had me giggly and social which for me is more of a sativa leaning hybrid effect. All-in-all though, I really pleasant smoke. Medicinal Uses:Anxiety, depression and insomnia NETFLIX ORIGINAL MOVIE TITLE: BRIGHTPREMISE: A detective must work with an Orc to find a powerful wand before evil creatures do.STORY: True to buddy cop films there are plenty of one-liner zings, however, what I really liked about this is the one-liners had purpose and moved the story forward. The world is beautifully unique yet grounded in a contemporary tapestry sprinkled with pixies, elves, orcs and halflings.CHARACTER: The characters are beautifully crafted in a way that both Daryl Ward (Will Smith), and Nick Jakoby (Joel Egerton), could carry this film with just their story alone. Will Smith’s portrayal of a wounded cop trying to reconnect with his partner who he doesn’t trust is not a new role for him (remember iRobot?), but he brings a fresh air to the role like no one else can. Joel Egerton’s performance for me was absolute magic! Under so much make-up and prosthetics it is hard to show or mimic emotion let alone even move your facial muscles, but Joel knocks it out of the park! And he didn’t end the surprises there, he grabbed this character by the tusks and gave us a hell of a emotional rollercoaster ride. Even as an Orc, Egerton’s performance was believable which equates to the audience getting emotionally invested not only in the character but in the story overall.DIALOGUE: Going in, one should realize that buddy cop films are prime for one-liners and this film is not different but accels in designing the one-liners to move the characters and their relationship forward.

<itunes:author>Eric Bean</itunes:author><itunes:subtitle>EPISODE: 04 Reeko BrooksTITLE: Interview with Reeko BrooksGUEST: Reeko BrooksGUEST BIO: Reeko Brooks is an American actor born in Akron Ohio. I normally stick to indicas or indica dominant hybrids since I have really bad anxiety, but the bud tender at my dispensary assured me that this strain was specifically made to help anxiety, so it might be a safer sativa to try. This logic made enough sense to me, so I gave it a go. I have not experienced any paranoia/anxiety at all, and I have been very energized while using this strain. For me I got an overall sense of well-being and a nice energetic mood that I could easily workout/run during. Overall, I would highly recommend this strain if you have it available in your area, it makes for a great daytime strain that allows you to still be able to get work done if need be. Ok, so this is my go-to strain for daytime medicating. Since I’m a very creative personality type – I love my sativas. This one is a cut above the rest! Clear, focused, creative energy is what I got from this strain without amping up my anxiety. It opened up my mind and really allowed my creative energies to explore my mind and took my writing to new levels. ★★★★ Four out of 5 stars NETFLIX ORIGINAL MOVIE TITLE: Haunted (tv series) Premise: Half hour episodes that are based on actual events told through the eyes of the victims, whose friends and family that are present are hearing it for the first time. Story: As a docu-series, Haunted combines true stories with solid re-enactments. With the narrations of the victims, families and friends coupled with the high production value of Netflix, the audience is able to connect with each episode differently and on many different levels. Filming in this style is difficult at best, but when done right (as Netflix has), the end result is a dynamic emotional roller coaster ride.

<itunes:author>Eric Bean</itunes:author><itunes:subtitle>EPISODE: 03TITLE: Interview with Jess PaulGUEST: Jess PaulGUEST BIO:ACTING & FILMMAKINGJess Paul is an American actor and producer known for award-winning short “A Funny Man”, Revry.tv’s “Promenade” & 2014 Official Sundance Film Festival...</itunes:subtitle><itunes:summary>EPISODE: 03TITLE: Interview with Jess PaulGUEST: Jess PaulGUEST BIO:ACTING & FILMMAKINGJess Paul is an American actor and producer known for award-winning short “A Funny Man”, Revry.tv’s “Promenade” & 2014 Official Sundance Film Festival Selection, “The Immaculate Reception”. At 19, Jess self-produced the sketch show Wrecked Radio News, covering today’s alternative music.
