We spent the last few days of our holiday in Ireland in a little town called Clough which is about an hour and a half southwest of Dublin. We stayed at the quaint High Nelly Cottage. If you're looking fo r a rural Ireland experience, this is it, friends. We made friends with the locals at Bob's Bar in Durrow, a town eight minutes away. We also made it over to the historical Kilbeggan Distillery Experience and The Cliffs of Moher (which is totally a basic tourist thing to do, but SO WORTH IT). Plus, we get to visit with my second cousin and be ultra British by having tea with him in his parlour and Jaffa Cakes. He also took us to a place where the fish and chips were outstanding (Hamilton Fish & Chips) in Felixstowe. We also make a pit stop at my parents' old hangout, a place called the Inkerman, for a few pints. The lovely owner, Alli James (author of Enespuro- check it out if you like unicorns).
