If you can picture expanding that moment into three years, then you will have a correct depiction of what my life was like throughout middle school. <br />    In this recording, the listener will only hear a snapshot of what truly went on in school. Just a tiny little snapshot that changed the way I felt about myself for so long. Despite one of the major themes of my personal memoir being overcoming a personal struggle by taking life one day at a time, the memoir was much more than just that. It had an underlying theme that you can pick up if you listen closely. One of the hardest things to write and talk about is being bullied by your peers. I tried to incorporate that into my memoir by adding one of the most painful and hurtful names that someone has called me. It was excruciating to speak the words that he directed towards me. At the time I did not care. I tried to brush it off because this wasn’t the first time something like this had happened. <br />    Keeping these emotions locked up for so long is what caused the panic attacks. Everything bad that had happened would rush to my mind and as a result, I would lose my calm. Writing and speaking this has empowered me, despite the sadness and anger I feel writing this. Who knew that two years later I would feel at peace with what I am, what I look like, and who I am.
