The Highland Lakes Service League divvies out scholarships to women each year, and applications for 2024 are due by April 15. Scholarship committee co-chair Beth Childers talked about why the group gives out the education awards and how to qualify.
KBEY had the honor of speaking with a 102-year-old World War II veteran, who will be recognized at the Bluebonnet Airshow in Burnet on Saturday, March 15. Former Col. Joe Mcphail of the U.S. Marine Corps served during WWII and the Korean War as a Corsair fighter pilot. KBEY also spoke with Leland Kercher and Jeremy Meyers of the NextGen Eagles Formation Aerobatic Team, which will perform on Saturday.
