Karen Byrnes Allen has been an integrative health care practitioner for over 25 years. Her early computer science career was interrupted by her infant daughter’s illness. Conventional medicine did not resolve it. She looked outward into complementary and integrative medicine (CIM), which returned her daughter to health. In awe and inspired, she retrained in CIM and began practice in 1994.

In her office over days and years, Karen heard many clients’ stories of extraordinary experience: spontaneous healings, laying on of hands, near death experiences, nonlocal awareness, synchronicities beyond imagining, and visions. Often, these people had not revealed these events to anyone, even though they may have been the most profound and important experiences of their lives.

Perhaps people were able to reveal these things to Karen because she had also experienced the extraordinary: near death, visions, synchronicities beyond normal. Like her clients, most of these had been held privately, or shared only with a trusted few.

More common than we might think – 30-50% of people in the US and UK report at least one event that extends beyond normal daily experience into what could be called spiritual (Cardena et al 2000.) Often unspoken, beyond words, beyond common language. Sometimes discouraged or ridiculed. At best, spoken and heard in a context that heals, inspires and strengthens us.

In 2013, Karen furthered her training in subtle energy. She sought out Mahendra Trivedi. His potent biofield work has been validated in over 4,000 science experiments. With his guidance, she refined a natural gift to engage life force energy with quantifiable, real world outcomes. In 2015 and 2016, she completed a series of research studies which verified her capacity – an ordinary person who could serve as a conduit for the extraordinary. These studies were published in peer reviewed journals.

In one study, Karen transmitted life force energy to cell medium and vitamin D3 samples, into which osteoblast (bone) cells were placed. Compared to controls, these bone cells produced 190% more collagen (the soft flexible weblike structure that creates a scaffold upon which healthy bone is built); 154% increase in bone mineralization, and 116% more alkaline phosphatase (an enzyme associated with increased activity in the bone cells).

The implications of this research for the growing epidemic of osteoporosis were profound. Karen shared the research methodology and outcome at an integrative conference. The audience, initially engaged, became silent when it became clear that the mechanism in this research was one of subtle energy, transmitted in a nonlocal setting. At the end of the presentation there were no questions, no comments from the audience. The discomfort in the room was palpable. When Karen returned to her table, those who had been sitting nearby moved to other tables.

That moment initiated Talking Your Walk. How do we leverage the amazing gifts of extraordinary experience? How do we talk about it with others effectively?

I examined my body, mind, heart, and spirit for clues to my disease. In the process of my research and inquiry into the “WHY” of my disease, I discovered Ayurveda. Ayurvedic medicine is an ancient science that encompasses all of these aspects of health: body, mind, heart, spirit, and story.

Within one year of changing lifestyle habits from each of the four areas of my WHOLE being, I was free of autoimmunity. Tests could find was no sign of RA in my blood. According to Western medicine, this was impossible. I discovered I had only been trapped by my lifestyle choices and how they impacted my genetics.

Shortly thereafter, I discovered Functional Medicine and realized this was a model that took the precepts of Ayurveda and translated them into Western language for the modern person. Ever since, I have been using what I now call the Freedom Framework to find and fix the root causes of blocks in my patients’ physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual energy—while listening to their stories.

“It was an honor to meet Suzanne Somers and to speak at the Entrepreneurship Student Club at Harvard Business School’s Business Expert Forum,” said Samuels.

Samuels soon realized from her institutional trading background, that aspiring traders lacked the guidance to graduate from the “Technical Trader’s Trap” to be able to run their own successful

Samuels' father taught her that moderation is the key to a well-balanced life. “Every time I made a choice, I thought about my dad,” she said.

After being a Blackhawk helicopter pilot and instructor for 21 years, his career path took a dramatic change when he became a financial advisor.

Porter has a passion for what he does because of what has happened to his family. At the age of 35, his son was diagnosed with a disabling disease and is now 100 percent disabled. Three years later, the wife of his son was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer, which took her life a year later. Shortly thereafter; his daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer.

“I was devastated,”he said. “You might think you are the healthiest person in the world, but you don’t know what is going to happen in the future.”

During this time he embarked on a financial education journey. “I was like 99 percent of the people who thought that insurance was a death product and you had to die to take advantage of the payout. Wow, was I mistaken,” explained Porter.

“If we aspire to positively transform our world, then we must promote women into leadership positions at all levels of society around the globe.”~ Bonnie Fatio

Having boldly made that statement, I asked myself what I, one person, could do to promote women more globally. My answer is Inspired Women Lead, a free, cross-border, cross-culture leadership mentoring program specifically for women. Mentoring designed for women to become strong leaders, recognized as such by themselves and by others.

Who is it for?

This mentoring is for the woman with a fire in her heart, who desires to lead as her authentic self, with a vision to make a positive difference in her own home and beyond: The woman who is leading and wants to step into higher leadership; who is leading and does not recognize her own leadership; who wants to become a leader; and the one in whom others recognize potential.

Presently women in Asia, Europe, Africa and North America are being mentored.

How?

Once selected, you meet virtually via the Internet with your mentor individually twice a month. Your personal concerns and a monthly leadership theme guide the mentoring.

A group Q&A session each month allows mentees to meet and to create a global network. Some group calls will prepare you to become a mentor.

What is my investment?

Inspired Women Lead mentoring is free. You pay nothing. However, you do investment time and effort.

You will sign a pledge to be fully present at all leadership mentoring sessions including group calls, and to mentor at least one other woman using the Inspired Women Lead leadership mentoring program.

The total commitment of being mentored and mentoring at least one other woman is for 12 months: Six months to be mentored and six months to mentor another.
