There are spoilers in it so you've been warned. SPOILERS!!! So Prometheus ends with the implication that we'll see Dr. Shaw and David take on the Engineers of humanity to seek the answers surrounding human existence. This doesn't happen at all in Covenant. Shaw is killed prior to the movie, off screen and David has become even more demented than before (which is okay because he played a truly sick and twisted bad guy). My problem is that this is all "speak-speak" exposition rather than "show-show" exposition. Don't tell me the fate of Shaw. That will only be met by a resounding "aw, that sucks" from movie goers everywhere. Show me what happened. I waited three years to SEE what happened to Shaw not to be spoon-fed some line about her death. All that waiting seems to be for nothing now. What's more is the new crew had no competence to them except for the main character (whose name escapes me) or at least until she's deceive by the least convincing subterfuge ever. What happened there? She stopped being keen to danger? I don't know. Also, the first scene with Weyland at David's birth would've been really nice to have in the Prometheus movie itself. Too little too late, Scott. Anyway, that's about the only things I didn't address in the video.

<itunes:author>Alex Stanley</itunes:author><itunes:subtitle>My Thoughts after watching Alien: Covenant.
