At the tender age of sixteen, he experienced a very traumatic event in his life, due to the insensitivity of a previously loving father. This event caused him to put down his pen. Consequently, he would not pick it up again until sixteen years later.After being transformed by God from the inside out, Charles became “Longshot”. The name, as he likes to explain, was birthed because he was homeless and had to eat out of trash cans. Also, people believed that It would be a “long shot” if he would even survive or be successful.
