We NEED to respond to Mandisa and the BN affiliates response (non-response). Mandisa always talks about hating hypocrites and she is the biggest hypocrite of them all. I guess accountability and responsibility are for everyone but her. I couldn't make this up if I wanted to. They (Mandisa Lateefah Thomas and the BN Affiliates) are basically gaslighting YOU! The next round of gaslighting central will focus on restorative justice. Sikivu Hutchinson has already laid the groundwork to restore Mandisa to her rightful place of touch not thine anointed one. Raina and I have pointed out that Sikivu and many others are complicit. Predators of any sort should not be tolerated. However, with some of these people, they want the same treatment given to white men in particular. They will do anything to maintain their proximity to whiteness. We've been warning you about this since 2012. You got angry with us, but that's fine too... We really need to talk about sex cults and the harm that they inflict. It's same type of setup that the church has in regards to venerating the leader and anyone who disagrees is disfellowshipped and tossed out like trash. People who are leaving religion need a soft place to land, but that's not in someones bed. They have been manipulated and exploited enough.

Please join us as we discuss the current political and cultural climate in this country. The Democrats are pushing a theme of unity and outreach. We can't afford to allow them to brush over what has taken place in this country since its inception. While some may feel that the Democrats are going to really push for change, we see that they are reaching out to groups of problematic whypipo who will never see or accept that Black people are human and deserve common human decency, dignity, and respect. How are we supposed to unify with people who are our enemies? We can't afford to continue to allow either party to continue to exploit and marginalize us anymore. However, it seems as though the Democrats are going out of their way to appeal to whypipo who will never accept them. They seem more determined to find commonalities with people who hate them than with the Black people who have supported them for decades. The Democrats need to understand that even though we may not vote for the Republicans, we are not obligated to vote for them or vote at all. We owe it to ourselves to forge a new path while holding both parties, especially the Democrats, to account for their participation in our oppression. They both know exactly what they're doing. We can't afford to let them forget about, turn away, explain away, or outright refuse our humanity and human rights. It's time to PUSH back hard.

Volume 2 of his Hubert Harrison biography entitled "Hubert Harrison: The Struggle for Equality, 1918-1927" (Columbia University Press) was recently published in November 2020. Dr. Perry, an archivist, bibliophile, and historian, preserved and inventoried the "Hubert H. Harrison Papers" and helped to place them at the Rare Book and Manuscript Library, Columbia University and to develop the "Hubert H. Harrison Papers, 1893-1927: Finding Aid." These efforts, contributed to making writings of Hubert Harrison freely-accessible worldwide via the Hubert Harrison Papers Digital Collection on the Columbia University Rare Book and Manuscript Library website.

When someone shows you who they are believe them! There's nothing cryptic about that statement coined by Maya Angelou. It's the truth! We have been warning you about the dangers and pathology of whiteness. Yet, you continue to tell us that it's not really that bad and they wouldn't never stoop to that level. What say you now? There is so much to unpack. The storming of the Capitol in DC and state capitol's should not have surprised you. They openly planned these events. They openly plan because they know that they will be shielded and the laws only apply to the others. We need to be very careful about what we advocate for because the new 'domestic terrorism' laws will be wielded much heavier on marginalized groups. This is another way for them to infringe upon our right to assemble and voice our dissent. Pay attention! I distinctly warned you about what was going to happen. They didn't just start planning these events. America's politics have been stuck in the slavery/civil rights mindset. The Southern strategy is still in effect. None of this has changed. A lot of this pushback and disdain from white domestic terrorists have been playing out since the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Ted Cruz himself stated the he was ready to make a deal along the lines of the Compromise of 1877. Listen to what these people are saying out loud and in public. I need you to pay more attention to what is going on around you. These white domestic terrorist are hiding behind their Bibles, guns, manifest destiny/God given rights, and the delusion that everything belongs to them and living a good life at the expense of others is the American way. Why must we forgive those who mean us nothing but harm? What do we get from allowing people to continue to transgress against us? Why is it that when whypipo do irreparable harm to black people, the first thing they do is send for our pastors? The Groveland Four

Please join us as we discuss the Groveland Four with Carol Greenlee (daughter of wrongly convicted Charles Greenlee). Earnest Thomas, Charles Greenlee, Samuel Shepherd and Walter Irvin were accused of raping a 17-year-old white woman in Lake County, Florida in 1948. They were convicted of a crime, minus any evidence, by an all white jury. In November 1951, NAACP Special Counsel Thurgood Marshall had the death penalty verdicts overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court. The four men were posthumously exonerated on April 18, 2017 by a resolution passed by the Florida House of Representatives. The state also apologized to their families for the racial injustice of the case, and lawmakers called on Florida Governor Rick Scott to officially pardon the men. Please contact the Florida Clemency board to see a pardon for the four young men who were wrongly accused and convicted of a crime that they didn't convict. I'm not sure what his stance is on the Hawaiian incident, but I'm sure that he feels like they should not have listened to the fake news and fake emergency drills. He still has said nothing. Maybe they live too far away like Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and others that aren't connected to the mainland. To keep things fair and balanced, he is sharing some of the love with the white community and they don't like it. Leave their birth control and abortions alone!! White women thought that the President was just making small talk when he stated that he would go after Planned Parenthood, Roe vs. Wade, equal pay for equal work, etc. He told you exacly what he was going to do and you didn't believe him. Now you want us to march with you to protest the injustice. When Black women pushed back, you clutched your pearls, called us ungrateful bitches, and (as usual) blamed us for everything that went wrong. We are used to this type of behavior from yu and this is why we disregard those white tears. Your white fragility is going to get us killed. White America, will you be there when they come for us? Will you be there cheering them on as they persecute us for not working for free, or subjecting ourselves to your abuse and exploitation, or sitting in the cut saying nothing because you're afraid that they will come after you next. Donald Trump has been sworn into the office of President of the United States. Mass protests have been taking place all over the world and it's not going away any time soon. I'm conflicted about being asked to support white women and men for a number of issues that seem self inflicted. I'm conflicted because at the end of the parch, parade, protest, etc. they get to go back to their lily white non-black neighbor having lives. I'm conflicted because you blame us for not fixing problems that we never created, but you proit from. I'm conflicted because your support comes with strings and obnoxious demands. I'm conflicted because you intterupt me while I'm speaking and then claim that I am trying to silence you. I'm conflicted because when I seek out other people of color with whom to identify, you then call it reverse racism....when you know good and damn well that you never prepared a place for me at the table until you were called out. There is nothing wrong with asking questions, making demands, saying NO, standing up for yourself, refuse to go along to get along, and play dirty if the opponent insists that the game has NO rules for them, but plenty of rules for the rest of us. Branded White: Diversity panels do not equal social justice advocacy (work)

Nor have we seen you at a rally, march, or protest. You ain't retweeted or shared a damn thing. We still waiting on that check. Have you run out of self-created issues in your communities? Now some of you are well meaning and I get it. I applaud your efforts and encourage you to continue to move forward. So, I am not talking about you. I am talking specifically to the group of people who are treating social justice work as the latest fad and 'it' cause. I am also talking to the group of people who are seeking to capitalize on social justice. Can't leave out the organizations that will profit from membership fees as they make sure to have a diversity panel at their conference. Sometimes they actually invite 'the blacks' to sit on the panel. There is nothing that I enjoy more than watching an all white 'diversity' panel discussing 'the blacks' and their (justified?) anger. Talking about what ails Lil' Tink Tink is not paving a trail so that the roadblocks that impeded his/her parents are cleared. If you truly believe that 'all lives matter,' then you should start petitions to have a constitutional amendment declaring 'the blacks' as 100% human. Additionally, you should be calling your local, state, and federal representatives to correct laws that have been on the books to disenfranchise people of color. Also, 'the blacks' are entitled to reparations: not only for slavery, but also for getting the shaft during reconstruction & the New (Raw) deal, Jim Crow, and systemic/institutional laws that perpetuate racism that are currently on the books. I mean, this is the very least that you can do since 'all lives matter,' right? Let the hillbilly horror show begin.

The murderer entered the home of the students and killed them execution style. The media and police are hesitant to call it a hate crime. The atheist community are attempting to distance themselves from this matter. I am seeing 'No True Scotsman' fallacies everywhere. I find it interesting that when it's a white person, they are judged as individuals. People are claiming that this domestic terrorist was mentally ill and a lone wolf. However, people of color are judged as groups and made accountable for the actions of individuals. This double standard has been prevalent in this community. We will discuss how the atheist community has created and cultivated a toxic environment. We have been calling this community out about the Islamophobia, racism, sexism, homophobia, etc.; yet, it has not been addressed. The mainstream atheist organizations have ignored the warning signs and have even attempted to make excuses for the bigotry. Richard Carrier is a world-renowned author and speaker. As a professional historian, published philosopher, and prominent defender of the American freethought movement, Dr. Carrier has appeared across the U.S., Canada and the U.K., and on American television and London radio, defending sound historical methods and the ethical worldview of secular naturalism. With a Ph.D. from Columbia University in ancient history, he specializes in the intellectual history of Greece and Rome, particularly ancient philosophy, religion, and science, with emphasis on the origins of Christianity and the use and progress of science under the Roman empire. He is also a published expert in the modern philosophy of naturalism as a worldview. He is the author of On the Historicity of Jesus: Why We Might Have Reason for Doubt, Proving History: Bayes’s Theorem and the Quest for the Historical Jesus, Sense and Goodness without God, Not the Impossible Faith, Why I Am Not a Christian, and Hitler Homer Bible Christ, and a major contributor to The Empty Tomb, The Christian Delusion, and The End of Christianity, and for his copious work in history and philosophy, online and in print. Allen's "The Invention of the White Race," with its focus on racial oppression and social control, is one of the twentieth-century's major contributions to historical understanding. A massacre kept secret for over 100 years. Now the truth will finally be revealed. THE FILM: Wilmington on Fire is a feature-length documentary that will give a historical and present day look at the Wilmington Massacre of 1898. The film features interviews from historians, authors, activists and descendants of the victims of the Wilmington Massacre of 1898. THE HISTORY: The Wilmington Massacre of 1898 was a bloody attack on the African-American community by a heavily armed white mob with the support of the North Carolina Democratic Party on November 10, 1898 in the port city of Wilmington, North Carolina. It is considered one of the only successful examples of a violent overthrow of an existing government (coup d'etat) and left countless numbers of African-American citizens dead and exiled from the city. This event was the spring board for the white supremacy movement and Jim Crow Segregation throughout the state of North Carolina, and the American South. This incident is barely mentioned and has been omitted from most history books. It was not until 2006, after the North Carolina General Assembly published a report on it, that the tragedy became known to the public. ABOUT THE DIRECTOR: Christopher Everett is an actor, writer, director and producer. He has a degree in Graphic Design from King's College in Charlotte, NC. He recently finished his first documentary short entitled "The Laurinburg Institute Est. 1904" on a historic African-American Boarding & Day School in his hometown of Laurinburg, NC. The types of men and families that we will be looking for will be men who are between the ages of 28-45, preferably either married or divorced because we want men who have gone through and continue to go through the experience of being a working class parent and husband to be able to show our audience an authentic slice of life that I feel is not being showcased on any current reality shows. The blog post asked fellow believers if church was a waste of time due to a number of reasons. Why are the economic disparities in many highly religious neighborhoods so glaring? Why are the crime rates in many highly religious neighborhoods so high? Why are the teen pregnancy and std rates in many highly religious neighborhoods out of control? Why hasn't the prayer of the righteous been answered and fulfilled in what seems to be a vicious perpetual cycle of dysfunction? Why do you need to pray at all if your life was predestined? Is God's will subject to negotiation? Why is the passuh and his inner circle the only ones acquiring wealth? In most cases, it's a matter of smoke and mirrors. Why isn't your passuh sowing seeds into good fertile ground? I mean isn't that what he is imploring you to do everytime you go to church? Why isn't s/he and the church held to the same standard?

Secrets, Sex, and Shame

The Protestant Church points the finger of shame and condemnation at the Catholic Church for the sex, pedophile, and ephebophile scandals that have plagued them over the years. However, when confronted with the very exact issues in their community, there is a deafening silence about the matter in most cases. There are usually three responses given, especially in the Pentecostal circle. The first, and most prevalent response, is silence. The second, and most damning response, is ‘touch not my anointed’ or ‘judge not.’ The third, and most disturbing, is that the victims must have wanted to be victimized and somehow brought it on themselves. We have to address these issues and they need to confront the aberrant behavior that is being displayed in their very own community. Cognitive dissonance is the uncomfortable feeling one has when they hold two conflicting thoughts at the same time. Does contradictory belief and disconfirming information about religious beliefs cause theists to utilize methodologies that enable self- justification? Do many theists remain willfully ignorant of truth and facts in an effort to maintain their self-justification? Does the self-justification cause theists to take a firmer stance in their beliefs? How can gay theists justify religious memberships when their church leadership and holy books vehemently speak against it? How can the church defend its stance when you have certain denominations that fully accept behaviors that others condemn? Are those people not real Christians (logical fallacy)? How can the church speak against pederasty, predatorial behavior, and pedophilia, yet do not utter a word when it comes to light that some within their confines subscribe to this lifestyle? Where is the outrage? What is praying about it going to achieve? Pray Until Something Happens…still waiting people. Nothing has happened and that is why some of the same people continue to perpetuate these atrocities while brainwashing, extorting, and shaming the sheeple to be silent, turn the other cheek, and to remember their own fallibilities that the passuh would be more than happy to put on blast from the pulpit if they get out of line. The church is like a chameleon due to the fact that it operates on fluidity that changes and adapts to keep the seats occupied and warm. It changes its colors to satisfy its members in an effort to survive and remain relevant. Smoke & mirrors…

Series: Dilemmas 101: Shut up or get shut out?

Many of us were faced with the dilemma to either remain loyal to religiosity or risk losing family, friends, business networks, social standing, etc. Some of us asked ourselves, ‘What should I do?’ or ‘Do I keep silent and just go along with the program?’ Some of us kept silent went along with the program until we could no longer tolerate the dysfunction and deception. In turn, many of us paid a dear price…we were shut out by the very people who proclaim to show God’s love and forgiveness. Our characters were defamed and we became social pariahs. This is not an easy walk when you feel that you are all alone. Many of us had to make the decision to leave and suffer or stay and suffer…not only ourselves, but the countless number of people we saw being sold false hopes, emotional ecstasy, and false promises of riches. What to do…what to do? Do I walk away and not look back because I may end up saltier than Lot’s wife? OR Do I stay and die internally every time I genuflect and kiss the ring of the passuh? Do I stay and finance his personal dynasty/fiefdom on this earth knowing that he is the biggest hypocrite in the building? Dilemmas… Per the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the definition of dilemmas is: 1 :an argument presenting two or more equally conclusive alternatives against an opponent 2 a:a usually undesirable or unpleasant choice b:a situation involving such a choice 3 a:a problem involving a difficult choice b:a difficult or persistent problem

Nonbelievers - From the pulpit to the pew

There have been many theists turned atheists who have confessed that they never believed, but it was a profession. Daniel Dennett and Linda LaScola conducted a study about preachers who don’t believe. I am sure many of us have questioned the validity of some believers testimony. Are skeptical believers a silent majority? Should skeptical believers discuss their confusion or disbelief? Do self-professed believers really know deep down that it’s all a ruse? The behaviors of many believers show that they are only giving lip service. Is this being done subconsciously? Are they truly emulating the bi-polar/schizophrenic behavior of many of the mythological characters of the Bible? Is the confusion experienced by many believers a matter of cognitive dissonance? NEW ALBUM, "AS ABOVE, SO BELOW" released February 2011!!! Anthony David is a Grammy nominated Neo Soul singer/songwriter out of Atlanta GA. Raised in Savannah, Anthony moved to Atlanta after a short stint in the US Army, and began pursuing his career in music. Immediately upon arriving, Anthony met India Arie, and began penning songs and performing locally, gaining a large local following. David wrote Part of my life, on Arie’s grammy award winning album Acoustic Soul, as well as producing tunes on her follow up albums, and toured with her as a backing vocalist. Shortly after, he joined friends Cufi and Cosmo to form the funk/rap outfit, El Pus, and participated in the recording of their Virgin records debut, Hoodlum Rock. Embarking on a solo career in 2004, Anthony signed to indie label Brash Music, and released two albums 3 Chords & The Truth, and The Red Clay Chronicles . Via licensing deals with Dome records in Europe, and in Village Again Records Japan, David toured internationally and gained critical acclaim throughout. Universal Records came calling in 2008, and released a compilation of the two indie records, titling the album Acey Duecy.

HIV/AIDS and the Deafening Silence of the Black Church

Mandisa Thomas of the Black Non-Believers of Atlanta (BNOA) will be our guest host this Sunday. Blacks account for over 500,000 cases of HIV out of the 1.1 million cases in America. The AIDS diagnosis for Blacks is 9 times than that of whites. Per the Kaiser Foundation, in 2009 only 33% of African Americans claim that they have heard of AIDS as compared to 62% in 2004. Black Americans have been disproportionately affected by HIV/IDS since the epidemic beginning, and that disparity has deepened over time. In the Black community, HIV impacts women, youth, gay, and bi-sexual men the most. Why has the Black church not stepped up to educate and assist the community that it claims to represent, love, and reside in?
