In a heartfelt posthumous tribute to the late singer Aaliyah, the box set Ultimate Aaliyah was originally released on April 4, 2005, by Blackground Records in selected countries (primarily the UK, Australia, Japan, parts of Europe, and others — it was never widely released in the United States at the time). This special collection celebrates her remarkable contributions to R&B and music during her influential career.
The original 2005 box set includes three discs:
*The first disc is a greatest hits collection featuring many of Aaliyah’s most popular and beloved songs.
*The second disc, titled Are You Feelin’ Me?, showcases a selection of her soundtrack contributions and collaborations — most notably with renowned producer Timbaland.
