Tonight… I’m burying someone.” In this solo episode of Front Porch Chronicles, I walk through the hardest chapter of my life — the moment I realized the version of me built from trauma was the same version destroying everything I loved. I talk about:
- childhood trauma
- emotional neglect
- learning to be “strong” way too young
- how silence and shame shaped my identity
- becoming toxic as self-protection
- the day I decided to bury that version of me
“He wasn’t a villain… he was a shield.” I share how:
- fear became anger
- distance became defense
- numbness became survival
…and how healing required a funeral. This episode answers:
- Where did my toxic self come from?
- What did he cost me?
