After 13 yr in Marine Corps, he settled down & worked as a police officer at the Bakersfield Police for 10 yrs.  His duties at the D.A.'S office was Terrorism Liaison Officer (TLO), the US Department of Homeland Security to combat terrorism.He serves w/ the US military, providing weapons instruction &training to deploying and home based CA National Guard and CA Air Guard troops.
