Marina Wyss joins The Ai Dev Craft Show to talk about what it really means to become an AI engineer—and how developers can keep learning without trying to chase every new model, tool, and trend.

The conversation covers the difference between AI engineering and machine learning, why evaluation is becoming such an important skill, how software engineers can transition into AI-focused roles, and why strong fundamentals still matter more than knowing every new framework.

Marina also shares practical advice for choosing what to learn, building useful side projects, navigating AI careers, and staying current without burning yourself out.

You can also hear Marina at Ai Dev Craft in Las Vegas, where she’ll speak on Staying Current with AI Without Losing Your Mind and lead a workshop on Evaluating AI Systems.
