About Sara McElroy: -
Sara McElroy is a former hustle culture devotee and ex-chief marketing officer who became the Wall Street Journal’s poster girl for pandemic career burnout after getting shingles in early 2021 and deciding to hit the life reset button.
Although she was valedictorian of her high school and reached the C-suite by age 35, Sara has also had her share of career struggles, including getting fired from a job after her divorce, falling into credit card debt, and failing at her first attempt at getting a master’s.
While Sara doesn’t necessarily lead with her “failures,” her passion is to show that she’s a recovering perfectionist who’s “walking the walk” in embracing her humanity, messiness, and vulnerability as she’s encouraging others to do the same.
