Ahhhhooooo! "The Rougaroo," unbeaten Regis Prograis, might be the best 140-pound boxer in the world, a point he's trying to make in the World Boxing Super Series, where he's up against WBA "regular" champ Kiryl Relikh in the semifinal round.

That assumes the WBSS solves its reputed money problems, pays its fighters, trainers, managers, and promoters, and sees the tournament through to its conclusion. Ivan Baranchyk already has pulled out of the other semifinal match (against Josh Taylor), citing late paychecks and lack of communication from tournament officials.

Prograis talks in-depth about his own relationship with the tournament, the options he sees if things fall apart, and what it's like to be "The Rougaroo" -- 23-0, with 19 KOs.

The New Orleans native also reveals how he reacted to the controversial non-call that deprived his beloved Saints of representing the NFC in this year's Super Bowl. (Spoiler alert: He was not a happy man.)

Before our interview with Regis Prograis, we get our weekly update from British correspondent Paul McLaughlin on developments on the UK boxing scene, and we talk to expert analysts Rizwaan Zahid and John J. Raspanti about Gervonta Davis' promising-but-shaky future, and his relationship with promoter/mentor Floyd Mayweather Jr., the blueprint to bring Erickson Lubin back to prominence at 154 pounds, Callum Smith's flirtation with a Kovalev showdown at 175 pounds, the upcoming DeGale-Eubank Jr. grudge match, Joe Joyce's risky step up in class against Bermain Stiverne, rumors that Keith Thurman could face Adrien Broner in his next fight, and the sad ending of Rocky Lockridge, one of boxing's underappreciated warriors, who died last week at 60.

Dennis Taylor is host of The Ringside Boxing Show, editor/publisher of www.ringsideboxingshow.com, and co-author (with John J. Raspanti) of "Intimate Warfare: The True Story of the Arturo Gatti and Micky Ward Boxing Trilogy," an Amazon bestseller.
