Are we there yet? No, it’s not quite March yet. However, it is February. We’re one month away from the madness. Although, Michigan State would say the madness has already begun. Big Ten play is now over the halfway mark and the Spartans have lost three straight games. We thought there were a few different tiers within the conference, but maybe there’s just two halves to it?
That’s Troy’s thought. Kevin may not be fully sold that there’s just a top half and bottom half, but through the midway point, that’s exactly how it looks. The conference is interesting from top to bottom now as even Rutgers and Illinois are playing good basketball – just ask the Spartans who lost to Illinois while shooting 51 percent from the field.
Yes, Illinois is playing good basketball. Teams toward the bottom are playing well. That’s a fact. It’s no wonder why the bracketologists out there have nine (or even 10) teams projected to make the NCAA Tournament from the Big Ten. The league is just that good. Listen to plenty of basketball talk and even some football recruiting updates now that National Signing Day has passed on this week’s episode!
