The first knockout punch ever thrown by one of the most-explosive punchers in boxing history happened when he zigged when he should have zagged while practicing with his high school marching band.
The legendary Bob Foster went before a judge for that one, but later on became one of the most-feared light heavyweights of all time.
This International Boxing Hall of Famer, who passed away two years ago, joined is in June of 2011 to tell amazing tales about his life and career, including the first time he ever laid eyes on a loudmouth amateur named Cassius Clay, memories from his fabulous pro career, and stories from his days as a sheriff's deputy in Albuquerque, N.M.
If you're a fan of boxing history, this interview is not to be missed.

We also get our weekly update from British correspondent Paul McLaughlin, who brings us up to speed with Hughie Fury, Billy Joe Saunders, and Dillian Whyte.

And don't forget about the regular edition of The Ringside Boxing Show, which is posted every Sunday on The Grueling Truth Sports Network at about 6 p.m. Pacific, 7 Mountain, 8 Central, 9 Eastern. This week's featured guest will be the extraordinary boxing historian Christopher James Shelton, who will tell us things we never knew about the myth of John L. Sullivan.

Dennis Taylor is host of The Ringside Boxing Show, editor/publisher of www.ringsideboxingshow.com, and co-author (with John J. Raspanti) of "Intimate Warfare: The True Story of the Arturo Gatti and Micky Ward Boxing Trilogy," currently on Amazon's bestsellers list.
