That approach involves investing in people as individuals, including the fifth of 5 Coaching Conversations managers should have with their employees -- the Progress Review. This conversation is more formal; it's on the calendar, and should happen at least twice a year -- though best practice is to have them quarterly. To be effective, the Progress Review needs to focus on the employee's strengths. In addition, it should be achievement-oriented, fair and accurate, and developmental.
