About Aliesha Renea: My name is Aliesha Jeffreys and I am the founder of Aliesha Renea; a street style brand for women and men that helps builds strength and empowerment.

When I was 18 years old I moved to New York with my father to attend Long Island University, by my second semester my father left, moved to another state and stopped communication. I was suddenly left alone in the city without any means of support or family. I had to move into a shelter and put school on hold. I started this brand in a shelter in 2016 because I write poetry about my life and what I been through and also about society, so I wanted to find a way to bring awareness in a unique way that people will relate to.

Through all the hard obstacles I suffered I created my first logo; an iconic image that represents a strong empowered black woman who has found peace in a world full of hate by keeping faith. After a couple years I created my second logo which stands for empowerment and justice. My mission is to bring awareness to the issues that we face in society everyday through fashion (body shaming, domestic violence, mental health, police brutality, gang violence, etc)

I am a strong black woman who is determined to be an example of what we all can do when we do not lose our sense of where we came from and have the drive to work hard to make our dreams a reality.
