In part two of this four-part series, Martin Mulcare (Actuary, Director at the Growth Project and Facilitator of the Professionalism Course at the Actuaries Institute) interviews Ian and Jess Pollard, on their co-authored book Mental Spinach. This episode revolves around "The Opportunity Lens", and how to create your own luck and opportunities.

Ian is an actuary, Rhodes Scholar, international tennis player and currently the chairman of RGA Reinsurance Australia. Jess is a career and creativity coach and a professional singer/songwriter.

They are father and daughter; a self-described ‘Yin and Yang’ duo, who collaborated on the Mental Spinach pocketbook to “nourish you in love, work and play”.

They aim to inspire others to reflect on their values, desires, strengths and opportunities to navigate big decisions and design a rich and sustainable life.
