Teresa Joyce was born on the 15th December 1958 the middle child of three. After losing her father at a very young age; this was to set the pattern for the rest of her life. Losing was something she would have to get used to. Today she still has some memory of her father, but in truth it’s all a little hazy.
Her mother through no fault of her own after that loss had no other alternative, other than to return to her parent’s home with her children in tow. This family unit were to spend only a few years there, until the wind hours hating. She swore to herself that she would leave all this behind at the first possible occasion. Happy memories are something that Teresa holds in very short supply. Her mother was set to meet the man that was to become her stepfather, and they moved once more to a new city with the promise of a new life. Hopefully it would be a happy one for all concerned, but it became a place for Teresa that felt far more like a prison.

Early intervention, the Bully Buster Preventative Program is a fun, educational, effective and thought provoking way to introduce and deal with bullying; a serious social and health issue of harassment, intimidation and violence in our communities. The curriculum is designed for schools or organizations and will help empower children, condition their hearts and minds against violence at an early stage through age appropriate activities and assignments students can take home to share! The Bully Buster Preventive Program will assist communities everywhere to be safer, conscientious, and more successful altogether.

It was good to have Mr. Buster Mathis Jr. on our show Wednesday morning talking about his The Bully Buster Preventative Program. Here is a little about what he does. Bullying is a serious social and health issue of harassment, intimidation and violence in our communities. Buster Mathis Inc. is a federally recognized 501c3 non-profit organization that creates awareness against bullying through the Bully Buster Preventative Program; we help teach young children (K-5) priceless principles, ethics and values that build courage, self-esteem and consideration for others to make a difference in the world!

While the majority of anti-bullying and non-violence prevention programs target middle school students ages 13 and up, Buster Mathis Inc. feels younger children are more impressionable, therefore we target students K-5 to influence and condition their hearts and minds against violence and bullying for earlier intervention

The Bully Buster Preventive Program will assist communities everywhere to be safer, conscientious, and more successful altogether. Our program offers another component; Buster Mathis Jr., that will assist in connecting an anti-violence message to children of color and households without positive male role models. Buster Mathis Jr. is a black male, and former heavy weight world contender. According to Fox Network, over 40 million people viewed Mike Tyson vs. Buster Mathis Jr. in 1995. His father Buster Mathis Sr. also contended as a world champion with Ali & Frasier. Both men were also members of the United States Olympic Team and have untarnished reputations as sports legends.
