Serge Dzeukou is a senior officer of the Nutrition Institute based in Accra, Ghana. He paid a visit to Cameroon Link to exchange views on the new approach of his company and find ways of harmonizing information on infant and young child feeding in Cameroon for the interest of the well being of babies in particular and the community as a whole. From all judgement by those who participated in a workshop demonstration by Serge Dzeukou, he is a strong breastfeeding advocate. According to Serge, it is important that the media looks at the problems of breastfeeding low rates from a realistic angle. He explained that if a driver caused an accident to occur, the manufacturer of the car should not be the person to be blamed. He was comparing the situation to the misinformation on the use of infant formula for babies. He blames the situation on the low level of education of mothers that do not take time to read the notices put or formulas packs and negligence or non-respect of the company guidelines.
