The 5 steps are: Story - Write 5 adjectives that describe who you are. Brainstorm the stories/experience from your life that reflects these adjectives. Outline - Create an outline that emphasizes Readability and Sense of action. Delivery - How does the tone, voice, and confidence come off from the words you use? Language - Grammar, quality of words (there’s a surprise here!) Beta-Test - Measure the message in your statement of purpose compared with the 5 adjectives you listed in Step 1. This gets your mind to slow down to improve your writing by deliberately thinking about the ideas you’re writing about the words you’re using to describe them.
