I had the great pleasure to speak at the “Believers in Grace Fellowship” Bible prophecy conference in Marion, Iowa. Pastor Bill Randles was kind enough to invite me.
We are very near to the return of Jesus to collect his Church. It is easy to identify and to watch the events that lead up to Jesus’ return. As Turkey and their allies move nearer and nearer to Israel we can know that Jesus is on his way. Jesus will return to cause the Turkish led forces in the Golan Heights to retreat! Turkey is in northwestern Syria now. Turkey will attack Hamah and Tell Rifaat first (Jer 49:23-27). Then Turkey will move south to destroy Damascus. Finally Turkey will lead the forces that are now fighting in Syria into the Golan Heights of Israel (Eze 38). I think that Jesus Christ will return at that time to fight against the Turkish led invaders in the Golan Heights (Nahum 1:3-8). Jesus will also take away Christians when he comes. Amen.
ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi has just released a 46 minute long voice recording addressing his ISIS troops. Al-Baghdadi told ISIS cells and sympathizers to commit terror attacks on the west. This official address is mentioned in Nahum 2:5 so we ought to pay attention.
Nahum 2:5 He shall recount his worthies: they shall stumble in their walk; they shall make haste to the wall thereof, and the defence shall be prepared.
In the very next verse Nahum describes the flooding of Mosul.
Nahum 2:6 The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.
Two things to learn. First, be alert to further terrorist attacks. Next we should expect the city of Mosul in northern Iraq to be flooded. Plus Nahum may tell us that Jesus Christ will return to earth during these events!

The Prophet Jeremiah says that the northwestern cities of Hamah and Arpad (or modern day Tell Rifaat) will hear evil reports about a coming invasion and will be terrified.
For the past few months the Turkish Army has been gathering heavy weapons and troops at Azaz, Syria in order to attack the nearby Kurdish held town of Tell Rifaat. Turkish President Erdogan said that the Turkish Army could attack Tell Rifaat at any moment. So one of the cities that Jeremiah identifies is about to be attacked by Turkish troops.
Jeremiah 49:23 Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.
With the finalized “safe zone” plan, Turkey will soon be in position to attack Hamah; the other city on Jeremiahs list. Soon Turkey will send 25,000 more Turkish and Free Syrian Army troops to Idlib located only a few miles from Hamah. According to Jeremiah 49:23-27, after Hamah and Tell Rifaat hear evil reports of a coming invasion then the residents of Damascus will flee and Damascus will be destroyed.

Sept 2016 interview. Michael Tobin reviews Syria in Bible prophecy and the Syrian war with guest Craig C. White. After Turkey destroys Damascus they will lead an invasion into the Golan Heights of Israel!
In Bible prophecy “the Assyrian” is a term that applies to the Antichrist because he will do the same things that the original Assyrian kings did. In 734 BC Assyria conquered Syria and then turned southward to attack northern Israel.
So we can identify the Antichrist as the man who conquers Syria. Turkish President Erdogan is just about to launch a massive ground invasion into Syria. His main goal is to remove Syrian President Assad from office in Damascus!
The Antichrist isn't from Assyria which is northern Iraq today. The Antichrist is only compared to the Assyrian kings because he will also conquer Syria and then invade northern Israel.
Now more than ever folks are expecting to identify the Antichrist. They have several candidates but only one world leader is fulfilling the criteria that the Bible lays out.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is the Antichrist. Here is a checklist that shows which bible prophecies he has already fulfilled.
Daniel chapter 7 describes 3 end time Unions that combine to form the next World Empire! They are the European Union, the new Russian Union, and a new Middle Eastern Union.
Commonly interpreted as describing ancient world empires, Daniel chapter 7 has been sorely misunderstood. It is high time to properly interpret Daniel’s end time vision, since it is unfolding today. Understanding Daniel 7 provides a startling perspective of our position in the timeline of the last days and the coming trial of Israel and the wrath of God on all the earth. The final gentile world empire is forming. Daniel chapter 7 tells us how.
It turns out that 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 is not about the apostasy of the Church or the removal of the Holy Spirit from the earth during the Tribulation period. It is about looking to the Old Testament prophets in order to recognize end time events!
2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.
Paul is not revealing new prophetic information here. He is reminding us about the prophecies of Isaiah (Isa 14:12) and Daniel (Dan 9:27). In verse 3 above, "a falling away" is the falling of Satan from heaven as explained by Isaiah. The "man of sin" will defile the temple as explained by Daniel.
