Top FAQs

  • Am I allowed to upload any audio & music file to my account?

You may upload your originally created audio and/or music files to which you hold all appropriate permissions and rights.

If you're not sure if you have all necessary rights, please review our terms of use and community guidelines below:

You can also play tracks from our media library that features tracks which have been cleared for playing on Spreaker. Please note that these tracks are not cleared for other uses, including exporting your content to YouTube or other sites.

In general terms, if you are not the original author of the content you are uploading and the piece of content is not licensed under a license that allows redistribution and creation of derivative work then you should not use this content on Spreaker.

  • On my stats it says I have way more total plays than I do listeners. Why?

Simply because a listener can listen to your show numerous times. So if your biggest fan listens to your show 100 times, under the stats you'll see 1 listener, and 100 plays. To know how Spreaker tracks listening statistics check this post out.

  • I haven't received my confirmation email, what can I do?

Confirmation emails are generally sent out instantly. If you haven't received one yet, check your spam folder to make sure it didn't end up there by accident. Then try again to re-send it by clicking on the re-send button you will find on the top of the page.

  • What is the difference between the media library and audio storage?

Your media library is where all of your uploaded audio files go, and you can access it at any time. However your audio storage is quite different. Depending on whether you have a free or premium account, you will have a set number of hours in your audio storage that includes every audio file you upload, as well as podcasts you upload or record. For instance, with a "Free Speech" account you will have a total of 10 hours to work with. Once you've reached the limit, you will no longer be able to broadcast and will have to delete past recordings to make room.
