What is a show, and what's the difference between a show and a episode?

A show is a container for episodes, while an episode is any playable, or recordable, sound. Both can be shared and distributed online. Read this article for a clear explanation of Spreaker’s main features and how to use them.

Is there a limit to the number of episodes in a show?

There are no limits to the number of episodes you can include in a show, however you must keep under your audio storage space limits. So, for example, if you're a Free Speech user, you'll have 5 hours for your content, while if you're a Broadcaster you'll have 500.

Creating your first show is easy. Just access the Content Management System (CMS) from your upper-right profile menu. Then, select the “Create a New Show” option. You can edit this or create a new show anytime by accessing the CMS.

If you already have a show and just want to move it to Spreaker using the RSS feed, check out these detailed tutorials.

If you are a Pro user you can also manage your intro and ad injection, add a cover image and customize your RSS Feed.

How do I insert a custom intro that will automatically play at the beginning of my show?

By upgrading to a Broadcaster Pro plan or higher, you have the option of uploading your own originally made, 5-second intro into your show's settings.

This intro must be an audio file that can be uploaded to the platform. You can do this by:

  1. Accessing the Content Management System (CMS) from your upper-right profile menu.
  2. Choosing the show you wish to modify and then clicking the yellow EDIT button.
  3. From there, select the Manage Intro option and upload your intro’s audio file.

To get an intro made professionally by a voice-over artist, you can go to the Spreaker Store and order one from our partners over at Music Radio Creative. Once they've sent you the finished audio file, you can follow the steps written above to upload it to your show.

How can I share content on social networks?

You can share your content on the most popular social networks by clicking on the "Share" button that appears next to the episode or show.
