Migrating your podcast from other platforms

If you already have your own feed, just use Spreaker's Import RSS tool.

If you want to move your show to Spreaker from another podcasting platform but don't know how to get your RSS feed, or are having issues when importing episodes, please contact us at support@spreaker.com.

Migrating your podcast from Soundcloud

You can easily move your content from SoundCloud to Spreaker by using your RSS Feed.

  1. Access your SoundCloud account.
  2. Go to your Settings page, select the content tab, and copy your RSS feed.
  3. Access your Spreaker account or create a new one.
  4. Go to the Create page and then click on Import RSS.
  5. Paste the RSS feed copied from SoundCloud into the corresponding box.
  6. Select the show where your episodes will be uploaded to and hit Send.

You can use Spreaker as your primary hosting platform and still continue distributing your episodes to SoundCloud. You can activate SoundCloud distribution in your Connections settings.

Migrating your podcast from Libsyn

You can use Spreaker as an alternative to Libsyn and import your episodes in one smooth swoop.
Generally speaking, your RSS feed will be in this format: http://YOURSHOW.libsyn.com/rss

  1. If you're not sure about your RSS feed URL, find it by accessing your show's dashboard on Libsyn.
  2. Click "destinations" in the menu and the "view feed" button tied to your show's RSS feed.
  3. Access your Spreaker account or create a new one.
  4. Go to the Create page and then click on Import RSS.
  5. Paste the RSS feed copied from Libsyn into the corresponding box.
  6. Select the show where your episodes will be uploaded to and hit Send.

Migrating your podcast from Blog Talk Radio

Moving your episodes by using your Blog Talk Radio RSS feed is very simple.
Generally speaking, your RSS feed URL will be in this format: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/YOURSHOW/podcast

  1. If you're not sure about your RSS feed URL, find it by accessing your Blog Talk Radio show page.
  2. Click on the orange RSS icon and copy its URL.
  3. Access your Spreaker account or create a new one.
  4. Go to the Create page and then click on Import RSS.
  5. Paste the RSS feed copied from Blog Talk Radio into the corresponding box.
  6. Select the show where your episodes will be uploaded to and hit Send.

Migrating your podcast from Blubrry

If you're hosting your show directly on Blubrry, without using the Powerpress plugin on your website, you can get your RSS feed URL this way:

  1. Access your Blubrry account.
  2. Go into the Podcaster's Dashboard.
  3. Go to "View feed in a new window" under the "Podcast Feed" option.

Note: If you're using the Powerpress plugin, your default RSS feed will be in the following format: http://www.YOURWEBSITE.COM/feed/podcast/

  1. Access your WordPress website dashboard.
  2. Hit the "Settings" option under the "PowerPress" left-hand menu.
  3. Switch to Advanced Mode and choose the "Feeds" tab.

Once you have your proper RSS feed, do the following:

  1. Access your Spreaker account or create a new one.
  2. Go to the Create page and then click on Import RSS.
  3. Paste the RSS feed copied from Libsyn into the corresponding box.
  4. Select the show where your episodes will be uploaded to and hit Send.

Migrating your podcast from Acast

You can move your show to Spreaker with your RSS feed.

  1. Go to your show page on Acast. Change the "www" to an "rss" in your profile URL. It will look like this: http://rss.acast.com/YOURUSERNAME .
  2. Access your Spreaker account or create a new one.
  3. Go to the Create page and then click on Import RSS.
  4. Paste the RSS feed copied from Acast into the corresponding box.
  5. Select the show where your episodes will be uploaded to and hit Send.

I have two accounts on Spreaker, is there any way to merge them?

Two accounts cannot be merged together, however you can download your episodes from the unwanted account, and then re-upload them to the one you want to keep. Keep in mind, you will not be able to keep your statistics.

I don't remember my password, how can I recover it?

To recover your password, you just have to click on the link below and insert the email address you used to sign up to Spreaker. We'll send you a link to click on so you can reset your password.

How do I change my email address?

To change your email address go into your "Settings" and choose "Change Email". Insert the new address, save by clicking on "Change Email", and follow the prompts that come up.

How do I edit my profile?

When you first sign up, your profile gets filled in with all the basic information you had entered in order to register. You can go back and edit this information by going into your "Settings".

How do I change my username?

To change your username go into My Account.

Under Username enter in a new name and save your changes. Your URL will be updated accordingly. Please note that you can make this change only once.

How do I change my password?

To change your password go into your "Settings" and choose "Change Password". Insert your old password, add your new password twice, and save by clicking on the "Change Password" button.

I haven't received my confirmation email

Confirmation emails are sent out instantly. If you haven't received one yet, make sure to:

  1. Double check that there are no typos in your
 email address
  2. Add noreply@spreaker.com into your list of contacts to ensure that the email won't be sent to your spam folder
  3. Check your spam folder, just in case
  4. Have it sent again by clicking on the re-send link at the top of your profile page

If none of those options work, contact us.

I get too many/too few email notifications from Spreaker

Go into your "Settings" and choose "Notifications". Tick or untick the boxes of all the news you wish to receive.

How can I block a user?

You can block a user if he/she writes on your wall or in your chatbox. Just click on the last message they've written, and the option to block him/her will pop up. You can check on and manage users you've blocked from here.

How do I delete my account?

To delete your account go into your "Settings" and choose "Delete Account".

You'll be required to enter a password, but if you didn't create one while signing up (i.e. you logged in via Facebook), you'll need to set one up first. This is to ensure that you don't accidentally delete your account and lose all your content.
